I am a maintenance technician at an extrusion factory. We use Bowers for a lot of our PM work and repairs on our furnaces and refrigeration units. They are very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I would recommend them.

We called at an off hour and got a response immediately and the service person was here within 20 minutes. He worked with us for two days and eventually found the problem was with the electric company not their equipment. Great help, friendly and professional. Very happy with their service!

Very prompt and friendly service. Nick, our technician, was able to diagnose our problem, secure the needed parts and make the repairs quickly. With today's 90 plus degree temperature, we appreciate being able to be comfortable in our home once again!

Bowers Heating and Cooling promised to perform an installation for our family but then only performed basic maintenance work and never answered calls. Our family contacted Bowers Heating and Cooling on April 11th 2019. We informed them that we had a child with autism that suffered from winter depression and needed to get outside and active performing his favorite pool play and therapy. As such we had purchased a pool water heat exchanger that is warmed by the air conditioning unit. We told them we were calling early in the spring season to beat the AC rush and needed to get the heat exchanger installed as out primary need and it would also be nice to get our other two AC's pre checked for the season. We were told that this would be no issue and that there was about a two week waiting period. Bowers Heating and Cooling said that they would send over an experienced installer to deal with our heat exchanger install since it was not there common air cooled AC type. Two weeks later a senior commercial and residential installer Todd came to the house. He said that the install was not something that he did, but that the owner needed to come over and quote it. He then proceeded to not perform our primary task, but to perform the basic maintenance and pre-checks of our system. When about completed Todd got on his i-pad to bill us. He charged us about $300 and then I left for a meeting. Later Todd called me up and said that he forgot two other $50 charges. I was surprised, but agreed for them to bill me. He also told me that his boss would call Monday to come over and help us proceed with our primary need, the pool heater install. We then later got a bill, not for an additional $100, but for an additional $169 because Todd said the wrong amounts and they added some additional travel fees. I think just this basic service, miss quotes, and then continuous additional fees is wrong and bad business practices. I should have been able to pay at the time of service and then been completely done with my bill with the services that I witnessed. After not calling me Monday, I called the company on April 22nd near the end of the day. The owner said that he just got back from vacation, but would stop out Thursday to look over the job and quote it. Thursday 3 weeks after my initial call arrives and the owner shows up. In person I felt that all was going great and he walked all around the outside of the house, went to the basement, and reviewed the whole install area. We then sat down and talked about the install. He said he could get the job done in two weeks and would write up the formal quote of about 1 to 1.5 days of work plus materials and coolant at a minimal mark up since there was a good bit of labor. I said that was fine and lets plan to have the install done in 2 weeks on Thursday. I then never saw the formal quote sent over so just before the install date I called in. I was told to leave a message. I called the next day. I was told he was in a morning meeting and to leave a message. I called a third day. I was told to leave a message. I called a fourth day. The lady told me that the owner said that they had quoted another big job and would not be performing the work. I was then very upset that the owner had stated he would do the work and he never cared enough or had the integrity to call me. He just left me hang out there until I called enough and still did not answer, but had the assistant answer only when I called in again. Bowers Heating and Cooling not performing the work would have been fine, but now they have wasted 5 weeks and my son will not be able to get his pool therapy as we planned. This was a very big lack of business principals and something I would not expect from a small town Findlay business. They could have said up front that they would not do it, but not agree to do the work and then never contact us and drop us for another bigger job. Integrity and reputation is a big deal for a business. The owner said he bought it 3 years ago and I intend for him to realize how important reputation is in a small town.

The technician was very professional and thorough with diagnosing our system. He explained what he was doing and why it needed to be done. He also showed me where an improvement could be made and told me how to get it done.

I had Todd come out to service the AC and he was extremely professional and helpful with explaining what he was doing to a new homeowner like myself. Great overall experience.
