Do not work with these people. I set an online appointment and several emails back and forth and day of the appt they said they cannot show up.

Completely unprofessional. Monday request for a Friday appt is not unreasonable expectations.

Playing games is not customer friendly at all. These reviews of great service have to be paid people or their own employees.

The price was $2000 less than their nearest competitor with what I consider to be a better product in the carrier line. I also like the way the technicians and sales people conduct themselves in comparison to the other company. No pressure, just the facts.

Our heat pump was not working. The technician immediately identified the problem as a blown capacitor. He replaced this and the unit began working. Then the add ons started. First he told us we were low on refrigerant and recommended a recharge. This cost nearly $1000. There was no difference in air temperature after the recharge. So he said it might be a stuck TXV. That would be $1500 to replace and would require another recharge. I declined. Then he quoted an entire system replacement which was more than double the quotes I have received from 3 other companies. No thanks!

2 days after posting this review the Customer Service Manager, Michael, reached out to me. During our conversation Michael explained that they have a price match guarantee. Now, Delaware Heating and Air was the first quote that I received. The 3 after that were all thousands of dollars less. Delaware quoted Carrier; the others quoted Lennox. That was the only difference. While I understand that a business may charge whatever they want, it’s not as though we were hundreds of dollars apart — it was thousands. Frankly, it’s rather insulting to be told that they can now come down thousands of dollars in price. If you are considering using Delaware, I highly recommend getting multiple quotes.

Called this morning , Monday the 14th 2021 and was told they could come the same day between Noon and 4 and that they would call a half hour before they come .. The call came in at 12:15ish The Tech arrived and was professional uniform and equipment along with the van were spotless .. explained everything to me up and running in no time!! All done and cool once again at very reasonable price !! Highly recommend Delaware Heating and Air !! 5 STAR

We had our furnace go out, and due to the weather outside it was only 50 degrees in the house. Delaware Heating & Air was the first name on the google search, and they were able to get a tech out to our house very quickly. Once he arrived he was able to diagnose the issue as a broken inducer motor, and told us that we could either replace the part or they could install a new furnace. According to the tech, he would not be able to get a new motor for three-to-four days, but he would be able to replace the furnace completely the next morning.

After calling another company, the repair tech told us that the part which DHA needed to specially order and wait for it to come in was actually readily available and one of the most common parts to replace. He was able to come and replace the inducer motor and we had heat by the early afternoon.

I felt like the technician from DHA was trying to upsale us to get a new furnace and claimed that we would have to wait four days for heat to try to pressure us into making an unnecessary, and very expensive, decision. Having two small kids in the house, I felt this was terribly unprofessional and we will not be calling Delaware Heating & Air, nor any of the Five Star affiliates, ever again.
