I have used Extreme for HVAC work across two houses and they have done a great job each time. Overall they have replaced a furnace, blower, and AC across those 2 locations. I have also had them perform maintenance work. The techs have been helpful, on time, and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about them and the work that they do. When I was selling my first house there was an issue with the way the condensate line on my AC was draining (minor issue). This was put in by the previous AC installer (not Extreme) and not their fault. When it came up in a home inspection I called them and they came out and took care of it for free as it was something that would have been done at the time of installation had it been noticed. Overall very happy with them and will continue to use them for future work.

The whole team at Extreme Heating and Air was amazing. When my A/C went down in the middle of summer they were able to send a tech the same day. Paul did an excellent job diagnosing our 30 year old system. Unfortunately, I didn't want to spend much money to save such an old A/C so it was time to bite the bullet and get a new one. The sales tech, Josh, went above and beyond to find the right product at the right price. He even lend us a portable a/c unit until the new unit was installed. To our surprise they were back the very next day ready to install our new unit. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They are not the cheapest but they are the most professional, respectful, responsive, and punctual team out there. To me that's even more important than to save a few bucks for bad service.

House is ready for summer and winter! Shaun, was knowledgeable, didn't try to upsell me and gave it to me straight. Joey and Ryan did the installation and finished ahead of schedule. Left everything better than they found it and cleaned up behind themselves. Very professional team and I would definitely choose Extreme Heating and Air again.

I called Extreme Heating and Air on a very hot Friday night, my AC had stopped working. I spoke to their office manager and within an hour Kevin their service tech was onsite. Kevin worked for several hours diagnosing a complex problem. He came back the next morning with parts he needed fix the issue and we were back up and running. Highly recommend this company!

Shaun is very knowledgeable and explained the details well. I live an an old house which presented challenges and the team rose to the occasion. Whereas, other HVAC companies were hesitant to do the work. Abraham is friendly and professional on the phone. The technicians are friendly and respectful. I really appreciate Matt’s passion and commitment to do the work “the right way.” The man with the long beard is also very helpful in explaining details of the work to me as well as providing guidance to the newer technicians. When the job was complete, Joey showed me the work that was done and answered all my questions. They get an A+ for professionalism, enthusiasm and excellent work!

I just paid $310 for a motor-start capacitor that would cost $80 on Amazon. A 389% markup. Very lucrative. It was a universal replacement, the like of which I would have on my truck as well.

It gets better.

The exact replacement capacitor would run you $23.48 at Grainger , for a bell-ringing 1,320% markup if you used the exact replacement. "But ours has a 5-year warranty!", you say. Right. The cheapo OEM version that it replaced lasted 23 years.

This seems excessive, especially considering that, sadly for my hurt feelings here, I know electric motors and was just opting for the convenience of getting someone else to do the work. Remember that old joke about the service tech that fixes something by hitting it with a hammer, and charges $100 - $1 for the hit and $99 for knowing where to hit it? This was more the opposite of that. The service call was reasonable. The part was not.

Speaking of the technician, he was top-notch. Friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, a good guy all around.

Alas, smart pills - as we call experiences like this around here - are often expensive, but they last a long time. They work especially well on lazy people like me.
