David and his team were awesome! Worked fast and professionally. He fought for me with Lowes to get an issue resolved and I am extremely appreciative of all that he did to get Lowes to honor a warranty with the dishwasher. I will absolutely use David and Yellow dot again for my home repair needs.

Bought a new construction house with move in on July 2022, my AC unit already went out, compressor to be exact. This was installed by Yellow Dot as they were the company who installed in our neighborhood. Well my AC went out and I called Yellow Dot to try to get this fixed. It was on Friday night and I asked if they can come out on Sat to check it out. I was under the impression they service 24/7 and all days of the week, which is advertised. We’ll know they told me to wait for a call on Monday morning to schedule. We had to go without AC all weekend.
I wait for the call on Monday and they schedule for someone to to come out the next day on Thursday. Turns out the compressor is bad, and guess what, they don’t have the part and they have to order it. I asked them when this can get done and they say they cannot tell me until they get the part ordered on April 6 which they will order the part.
Another weekend without AC, had to call back the following week because I did not hear back from them on Monday, and they said they will have the part by Thursday. I tell them I will be out of town, and the. Scheduled for Friday. Well it rains Friday, and they cannot fix it. So another weekend of no AC at the convenience of Yellow Dot. I asked if they can send a someone on Saturday as the rain was beyond anyone’s control. Despite advertising they have service all days of the week they say no we have to wait til Monday.
I guess because this is a warranty repair of unit they installed, it’s ok to inconvenience me and my family for their faulty work. It maybe the compressor but Yellow Dot installed my unit. I expect more urgency in repairing their work when it is faulty.

I do not recommend due to false claims of lead in my drinking water.
I had multiple contractors give me a quote on water and electrical. Yellow Dot was listed by Duke Power and was why I asked for a quote. They were very nice! Though, setting the appointment was unnecessarily complicated and included me being routed through some third party call center out of town.
Once they came and did the quote, the guys were friendly. Though the plumber never followed through with an actual quote. The electrician quoted me right there and then started offering discounts. that was definitely a sign when the quote was $6k and then without any prompting from me, there were discounts coming off. It was too salesy and I have heard they are more commissioned based. I got another professional contractor to do all the work for 20% of the cost.
The part that got me the most and the reason I am writing this review is because of a scare tactic that caused me both head and heartache. The plumber said " you don't drink that water do you?". I love drinking my tap water! For me at least, one of the most fortunate things about living here compared to other parts of the world, unlimited clean water (even hot if you want it!).
The plumber said, I would definitely not drink that. Especially if there are kids here. There is definitely lead in the water.
I immediately go the water tested for free by the City of Raleigh. They came the next day and then had results within about 7 days. "There was a non-detect of lead in the water".
I am very annoyed at someone saying that about my water and then trying to sell me a water main. but then not even following through with a quote. Lead water is a serious thing.
Always get a second opinion, or even three. Always try to find someone who is not paid on commission.
I would NEVER recommend Yellow dot. This is some tricky sales stuff that, in my opinion, is morally corrupt.

Danny Cowart the Electrician was very professional and friendly and kurtious. His work with repairs on my plug in reciprocal on my swimming pool pump and more was excellent. I was very pleased. He is good at what he does. I thank you for the great service!

Jordan was very professional, personable, patient while allowing me to ask multiple questions, since this is first time for AC-maintenance, Jordan explained what he was performing and why, being 40 years older and seeing a young professional present himself and company in such a trusting manner, he delivered confidence and would like Jordan for my annual heating maintenance scheduled in October this fall. Thank you Note, did not and do not want a sales person at time of my maintenance! There is an undertone of sales pressure that is so counterintuitive while being serviced, almost ridiculous to think he is there expecting stuff to quote. Is there no confidence that my maintenance and annual contract give idea that I won’t need a replacement or costly fixes after ONE year, to think NOTHING what service tech feels. The polar opposite should be in place, that is, in the event service tech does find issues, “ we will have someone contact you and schedule a review and quote”! No sales are welcome unless I the customer submit request! It undermines your technicians in my opinion. Thank you

Jordan Jenkins from Yellow Dot arrived on time and wore shoe covers which I really appreciated. He was friendly and professional. He quickly identified the problem (our duct was clogged) and cleared it. I signed up for the Yellow Dot maintenance plan and the cost of today’s visit and service were applied to that total! Will definitely use Yellow Dot again and will request Jordan’s as our technician.

Alberto was great! He kept me informed on arrival, was on time, got to business right away, fixed the AC issue very quickly, and provided me with valuable tips on my specific system that was not on any of the YouTube DIY videos.

Nick was an outstanding technician. He went over everything with me in regards to the system. He also discussed with me ways to keep humidity out of the home with a thermostat solution or an apparatus that works with the current A/C system currently on the premises.
