We had both our AC/Furnace units installed by Nick and Co and haven't had an issues for over 8 years. We recently had a power surge in our house that fried our blower motor. The motor was under the 10 years parts warranty, so all we needed to pay for was the service call and labor. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone requiring their service.
Have used Nick for over 20 yrs, after another company recommended him when they could not diagnose the issue....NIck found it almost immediately. They are honest and do quality work; I've recommended them to numerous friends and coworkers--not heard one complaint. when it's time for a complete system replacement, I plan to call Nick, end of story.
Working with the service personnel has been good. They know their stuff and get the job done. Our only problem with this project has been general communication about scheduling. We set this project up back in November and had to make numerous calls to the office before an installation date was finally set. It would be better if we had been better informed by the office as to the status and final installation date.
Nick & Co have been our AC company for almost 20 years. They have been excellent. They are extremely responsive and get the job done correctly. We trust Nick and his crew of guys immensely!
Edit (4/16/19): PEOPLE: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IT IS.....NICK& CO, MORRIS JENKINS, BROTHERS, MTB, ETC......ALL OF THEM CHARGE $80-$100 TO DO ANNUAL MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, AND CHECK UP. IF THEY DON'T ACTUALLY CLEAN ANYTHING PROPERLY, DON'T PAY THEM! IF THEY DON'T CLEAN ANYTHING, YOUR UNIT WILL NOT LAST AS LONG AS IT SHOULD! That being said, I am extremely disappointed in the service I received today. Nick & Co installed my unit a few years ago, and I thought the service was great, but I will not be calling them again. First, I called to ask how much it would cost to get my system cleaned and checked. The lady on the phone said she didn't know and that the service tech would tell me once they got to my house. (Why would I have a tech come to my house without an agreed upon price?) After expressing my frustration, she took my number down and someone else called me back to tell me it was $99. I asked if that included a full condensing unit cleaning, and was told yes. (Two years ago I took all of the panels off and cleaned my own condensing unit, so I know what is involved.) Since I knew cleaning the condensing unit wasn't that hard, just time consuming, I asked if they would charge me less to do everything except the condensing unit, they said no. So I went ahead and agreed to the $99 for the system check and cleaning. Today, a service tech came to my house and immediately told me to turn on the A/C. (I questioned why I was turning on the unit before any cleaning, maintenance, or checking of anything was done. He said it was fine, so I did it.) While the condensing unit is running, he sprinkled it with a little water from the garden hose. That was it. 10 minutes after the tech arrived, he was done and asking for the $99. I questioned him when he was going to do the maintenance and cleaning part, and he said he already did. I told him that I wasn't paying for him to do what mother nature does every time it rains, and that proper cleaning of the condensing unit (per Trane) was to remove all of the panels and fan, spray the coils with cleaner, and spray them out with water from the inside. (Also, the tech did not check my air filters, and I highly doubt he cleaned the blower wheel and evaporator coil for dirt/dust/debris either, but we didn't even get to talking about that) He said all of my refrigerant pressures were perfect so I shouldn't worry about cleaning anything (You're supposed to clean everything before turning on the unit and checking the pressures) I cannot confirm he actually even checked the refrigerant pressures, but I'll assume he did. He tried to make up some excuse about not being able to remove the panels from the condensing unit (which I did myself 2 years prior). Obviously frustrated at this point that they want to charge $99 to show up at my house and do absolutely nothing, I left it up to the tech (who called Nick) to decide if they wanted to complete the job PROPERLY and make $99, or leave. They decided to leave. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Previous (now invalid review):My family has used Nick & Co for 30 years. When I bought a house a few years back, I hired Nick & Co to do a complete unit and ductwork replacement. Their price was reasonable, not the cheapest, but it's hard to pass up 30 years of good service. I was very pleased with their work.
Nick & Co has been servicing the systems in my home for the last 18 years. They always go above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly and I highly recommend them. They are the best!
I have used Nick’s for over 25 yrs. He has always provided excellent service. For many yrs he kept my old system “alive”. I have recommended him to many people.
Nick and Co have installed two Trane units my 3 story house - one upstairs and one on the lower level. These comprise both a heat pump outside and an air handler inside. In both cases the installation team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and left the areas cleaner than they found them. The upstairs unit required dragging new equipment upstairs and into an attic along with removing the old equipment. The men were very careful to put down mats to protect the floors all the way through the house. The upstairs unit has been operating since 2016 without any hiccups and we expect the same for the newly installed unit. Also, Nick& Co offered a very competitive price.
We have been with Nick & Co. for about 10 years and they have done everything to our satisfaction including installing new units, minor repairs and tune ups, and semi-annual inspections for our house and our two condos. I wish they would go to the coast to work on our beach house, but no such luck.
I have used Nic and Co. for eleven years. I highly recommend them for all air conditioning and heating concerns. They installed new units years ago and have stood by all of their work. This company is fair, honest and customer friendly...professionals.
