Exact Temp was recommended to us by a neighbor and I can’t say enough good things about this company. They just replaced 3 fifteen year old AC units for us. Kenny talked us through the various brands and options and helped us select the best units for us based on our existing furnaces, efficiency preference, etc. They were more than fair on the price but more than that, did extremely high quality work. Kenny and his team were superb through the entire process and communication was great from start to finish. We could not be happier with the our experience here and the finished product.

Overall my experience with Exact Temp was very positive. The technician, Kayvan, was efficient, knowledgeable, courteous and thorough. He took the time to consider a secondary issue we were having and suggest possible solutions at various price points, and was helpful in walking us through the operation of our new thermostat. The cost was comparable to other companies' estimates.

I'm giving a four rather than 5 star rating only because I found the scheduling process lacking.

The short version: I received text communications about my appointment from three different phone numbers, each of which cited a different time or range of times, only one of which I'd indicated worked for me. I admittedly didn't try to reach out to the company to clarify, largely because I didn't expect it to accomplish anything, and because given the previous contradictions I probably wouldn't have felt especially confident in the answer regardless. I'll include the full story at the end of this review for anyone who's interested.

Ultimately, I wouldn't necessarily *not* hire them again, because I was happy with Kayvan's work. Next time I'd just know to take any proposed scheduling agreement with a grain of salt.

The long version of the scheduling saga:

I made the initial appointment for a consultation via text, and when I inquired, the representative informed me that they had availability 11am-1pm on one day or 10am the following. I agreed to the 10am and was told they'd put me on the schedule, and twice provided further information upon request.

A few minutes after the second request for information -- presumably I hadn't provided everything they were looking for in response to the first, which had only referred to "contact information" generally -- I received a message from a different number 'confirming' that my appointment was scheduled for 11am. That coincided with an important work-related call, so I never would have chosen that time slot, but decided to go ahead and try to make it work because we were pretty desperate to figure out how to get our system up and running again.

A moment later, I got a message from a third phone number, this one saying the technician was scheduled to arrive between 11am and 1pm. I realize it's common in home repair to have a designated window for arrival rather than a precise commitment, but if that's the company's practice, it's confusing and arguably even disingenuous to suggest (multiple times) that an appointment time is exact when making the initial agreement with the client.

As I mentioned above, I admit I did not contact the company to try to rectify this at the time. In addition to the aforementioned desperation to get things fixed, I was by that point increasingly exhausted wth all the correspondence. Mostly, though, I didn't bother calling or texting (which number would I even have texted when there were at least three and they didn't necessarily seem to communicate with one another?) because I didn't think it would change anything. I suspect the first person I talked to should've just said "between 11 and 1" from the beginning. On top of that, even if I'd gotten what was supposed to be a definitive answer on the phone, after all that back-and-forth I wouldn't have felt especially confident that whatever the person on the phone said would end up being accurate regardless.

On the day of the appointment, I received a text around 11:30 saying the technician was en route, and he arrived about an hour later. I can't reasonably fault the company for his having a long drive between jobs, but it would be helpful if they could provide a ballpark estimate regarding that travel time or perhaps alter their procedure so the customer's alerted when the technician is, say, half an hour away, rather than the moment they set out from an unknown distance. I personally tend to assume that "en route" will mean I can expect a wait of closer to 20-30 minutes, and I think that interpretation would be pretty common, but again, that doesn't really constitute any negligence on the company's part.

Yearly tuneup performed by Kayvan. He did a fantastic job showing me what he found and what he suggested. Also helped reprogram my thermostats to unlock a feature that was not previously available and saved me tons of money buying new thermostats. Would highly recommend Kayvan and Exact Temp Heating and Cooling.

Don't hesitate to use Exact Temp for your AC and Heating! They will work with you, they are highly responsive, provide timely information when they are showing up via phone and text, transparent in what they are doing while they are on site and will help (even educate) you through their effort every step of the way. They are very price competitive, have high quality professionals who know their stuff and will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Although they are not a large company - Exact Temp knows & remembers you, which helps to forge a positive trusted relationship.

Our heat went out, and we called the next morning. Even though they were originally booked up that day, they were able to fit us in. I am very thankful for this as this was a particularly cold day and was only forecast to get colder as the week progressed. The service tech was very helpful and walked us through everything. Couldn't recommend enough.
