A “ repair man” came to my house to look at my exterior heat/AC unit. His diagnosis was to replace the whole unit. I asked, “about how much does a new unit cost”? He replied around 10 to 13 thousand dollars. He wasn’t sure and said a estimate sales rep. would call and set up a appointment.
Well, I told some friends about the situation. I was given a reference to a independent contractor. The repair man came to my house and said the fan had burned out and needed to be replaced.
He also said the heat exchanger had some rust holes and needed to be replaced as well.
But, Good news, the heat exchanger was under warranty and it would cost 1300 dollars not 13000 like Brothers had mentioned.
‘By the way, someone had damaged some of the switches in the unit’, contractor said. Hhhmmmm, sabotaged?
I’m wondering how many elderly folks on a fixed income theses “Brothers” have taken advantage of?
I DO NOT RECOMMEND BROTHERS……
They want to replace your AC/HEAT system and not repair it.
By the way the estimater never called thank god.

We scheduled 3 years ago and haven't sused them since they were no shows...we use another more reliable service.

Today we have gotten 8 calls and then got an earful from Asha (called me a cracker?!? But we're not supposed to be dividing people by race hello?!!) I'm so over their awful service and now this just because I requested they stop calling me.

It was a great experience these men who came were very professional and knowledgeable. They were here all day installing a new unit, heavy rain came and these guys continued to work in the rain..I thank them so doing such a great job..

We were scheduled to get our air repaired Yesterday! They did not come! They rescheduled for today in the heat of the day which conflicts with our Father's day dinner reservations. Premium customers, Poor service.

Brought a unit from Lowe’s,and they had them install our unit Last June.Called them on July 2 because our unit went out.The manager told me my warranty went out in June,and that it will be 199.00 to diagnose the problem,and it will be another fee to fix.I told the manager that nobody told me about the warranty and that this is a brand new system,and he didn’t care at all,So be aware,and careful dealing with these guys

I purchased a tuneup and the technician came out to the house. He went into the attic to check the unit and was literally up there less than 2 minutes. He came back down and said he was going to check the unit outside. He came in about 5 minutes later and said our compressor was bad and we should really replace the unit. He called the sales guy out and we were quoted about 12k to replace the whole unit. We called another company out the next day and they said the compressor was fine and there were no issues with the compressor at all. The AC was running fine before the tuneup and has run fine ever since. Get a second opinion if they try to sell you a new unit. It makes me sick to think someone would do this.

UPDATE…. Over 1 year later and my AC is still running strong after the low life came out and told us the compressor was almost completely dead and we needed to replace the whole unit. It’s terrible to think how many people are ripped off by these shady “technicians”.

Hold me for two days… no one showed up on appointment time or call or text me for not showing up. I had no call and ask why no one came.
Very disappointed. Not recommending anyone.

Paid $11,800 for a new heating and ac unit. Had to call for repairs the very next day. Then had to call for repairs a week later. It’s only been two weeks since installation! They are terrible!

Called to have air-conditioning serviced, 3 weeks to come out ( get that there busy) they call night before telling us they will not come because they have to many calls. Rescheduled for another 3 weeks out. Called day of telling us they cant come out there to busy again.
Wife took off from work both times to have them come. Call center girl very unprofessional told me they dont have mangers to speak to. Spoke to another lady in rockhill location was super nice and helped get in contact with supervisor. Supervisor called back and said sorry nothing we can do. Dont use them. We had them install our system and had to come back 3 times because they got insulation stuck in drain when installing for ac, causing to back up.

Brothers Heating and Air has been the worst company to use. First issue was they installed a new HVAC system. The day they installed it, there was a faulty part on the furnace. We went without AC the first night with our new system. Nothing was offered for us to use for comfort (fans or window units). Second issue was our water heater. After 3 days with our new water heater we had a gas leak that was preventable if Brothers technicians properly checked their work. Third issue was they damaged a gas line to our gas logs. It has been over 2 weeks with numerous phone calls and a failed inspection report from Meck County and the issue is still outstanding. No returned calls, no discounts or refunds. I would give negative stars if I could. Give Morris Jenkins your money for any water heater or HVAC issues, they will provide exceptional service unlike Brothers Heating and Air
