Tim did a great job doing annual maintenance of our ac system. I have great confidence in Capital’s work.

I called them and asked them if they fix gas leaks. They said yes. But when the technician reached the house he said he does not fix gas leaks. He is just a specialist for furnaces!!!!

They came out and serviced my boiler and only did the work that was needed to get my system up and running. They did not try to sell me a new boiler that was not needed. Very happy with their service.

Ten second version of this review:

1, Capital only serves R22 AC units under strict conditions and it will be costly. They much prefer selling you a new unit.

2, Don’t expect to get a detailed service report and you better hope there is only one thing failed in your AC.

3, If you unfortunately have an older system that needs servicing, better save your $151 and go right to Jerry. Capital doesn’t care. Number see picture in comments.

Had some interesting experience with Capital yesterday and today (June 17th and 18th, 2019). Thought you guys might get some kicks out of this.

We bought a house with its AC unit not running properly. Called Capital on the 12th to set up an appointment for service, they were happy to do so and quickly charged my credit card. Jerry showed up in a Capital van, hooked his manifold gauge to the AC unit and right away told me it needs refrigerant. Okay no problem, charge the system and I will pay for it. Instead of that, I got a whole lecture about how R22 systems are no longer legal to be serviced and Capital doesn’t even stock R22 in their van. My only option through Capital is to get an entirely new system for a few thousand dollars. Seeing my hesitation, Jerry skillfully brought up that he could come over on Saturday to charge my system through his side business. R22 and no question asked. He will also install new units at a discount should I need it. Sounds to me he is so much more enthusiastic about his side business than finding a solution through Capital. At this point the thing is fishy enough, so I asked for paperwork and decided to go somewhere else for service. All I got was a little piece of paper with Jerry’s phone number on it. An invoice was supposedly emailed to me which never showed up. Entire service was about 20 minutes and cost me $151.

Feeling disappointed I called Capital, asked a third time for report/ receipt and finally got a paid invoice through email. I also talked with Capital’s service manager to find out where the report is, turns out the three lines under Notes are the report I have been asking. My AC needs "free on". Also asked what is their policy about employee promoting side business is during scheduled appointment. Found out that Jerry was their long time employee and he did nothing wrong during this service. Aside from another 20 minutes EPA style seminar why R22 is bad and why I shouldn’t have asked them to charge my AC, Capital was also pretty proud that its employee could go right to the problem without even checking anything else. They did offer to send out another technician to THOROUGHLY check my AC again, but sorry how can I trust them one more time.

Conclusion:
If your AC needs "free on", go right to Jerry to save yourself some time and money!
