KLC Heating and Cooling

Kevin was warm, pleasant and patient. He explained the details of what he was doing very well and offered great advice for further upkeep and maintenance. I will definitely be using this service again.

Update: 4 Years later and I still look to KLC for my bi-annual service and any emergencies. During the coldest week of the year I came back from vacation to a broken furnace. I called Kevin and he came out next morning providing me with all of my options. First I listened to my family and decided to fix the parts instead of replace the unit like Kevin suggested. Welp, 2 hours later we were back in the cold. Needless to say, I called him same night and the next day we were off to Home Depot to replace the furnace. But of course, when it rains, it pours, or in this case, it floods.

The pipes has been cold /freezing for at least teo or three days. We had one peaceful day after Kevin replaced the furnace before the water tank gave way spraying water all over the boiler room. Both appliances were replaced 11 years ago after Hurricane Sandy so they've both done their time. I called Kevin, who not only came out in a matter of 10 minutes or less after 8pm to turn off the valve (I wasn't sure what to turn), but he also helped us vacuum the water and clean the mess. Off to Home Depot we went again to purchase a replacement the next day. Sidenote: Home Depot and its characters is a whole other world that I forgot existed, LOL.

Finally, thinking I am free from home owner's trials and tribulations, I set up my washing maching to the kitchen sink and go to relax. Next thing I know, I hear my family hollering about the hot water pipe exploding. At this point I could only laugh to keep from crying. I mean water was shooting up to the ceiling with the knob on the counter. After a few panicked seconds I rememberd to turn off the valve under the sink. I called Kevin again and he was just as shocked as I was. The joke was who /what came back from the islands with me tearing up the house (Caribbean thing). I recall he remarked how patient I was given the circumstances, but I told him it was because I was too dang cold to feel bothered, Lol. Also, these things happen. He referred me to a great plumber also named Kevin, who had my kitchen sink replaced the next day.

This all happened over the span of 5 days but Kevin handled the incident(s) with the utmost care, patience and professionalism. Excellent service. I'm also glad I was willing to hold out for his call back when I first called because I did not want to risk going with someone else.

Last week, I had a horrible experience with a previous repairman who broke my thermostat during a rushed fall maintance cleaning. I heard when he broke it, but he taped my thermostat up with electric tape without telling me and was in and out of the house before I could blink. Afterwards, my heat would not stay on for more than 5 minutes and when I called him about it, he became beligerent. Not one to waste my time or my energy on bad service, I called KLC to replace the thermostat with a newly purchased unit. Kevin was very responsive, professional and punctual. He replaced the thermostat in a fair amount of time and was reasonably priced. However, we noticed the heat still wouldn't stay on long enough to warm the house. Kevin came back out today to further inspect the furnace and it turned out our control was worn out. He was even patient enough to wait for me to get home in this snow and maintained his pleasant demeanor. He replaced the control with a new part and waited some time to make sure the unit was working properly. Our heat has been running normally since. I highly recommend him and will use his services again. Thank you.

Kevin came within 30 mins of my call. It was night which I appreciated. 2nd time the ac broke in 2 weeks. The system was leaking. The other company missed the issue. He fixed the issue and the cost was reasonable. Thanks you

Had many companies come down to check my central AC unit nobody was able to find the problem, called KLC found the issue right away and spent 6 hours and fixed it. Did a neat and perfect job. Highly recommend!!!

KLC was exceptional in every way! Replaced the heating/ac unit and condenser including a new thermostat. They did extensive testing to make sure everything was fully working and fitted. I appreciated the way Kevin walked me through the process and explained not only what he was doing but why it was important and for my benefit/convenience. I highly recommend KLC services.

Kevin has been nothing but professional with reasonable pricing for parts and service. Used him twice in a 2 week span, after my water heater stopped working after a basement flood, then 1 week later unrelated after an electrical component on the boiler broke down. Each job was completed same day within a few hours. Is competent and informative. Would definitely recommend.

Kevin & Barrett (hopefully I spelt it right) was very helpful at fixing my central air. My A/C was down for about 14 years and on Friday I gave his company a call & all I said was my A/C wasn’t working. He ask me to send him the address and the rest was history. He didn’t even know the A/C was down for 14 years. I shared that information after the job was done. This guy knows his stuff. I would definitely recommend this company. He came into my home and felt like he couldn’t leave until my A/C was working. You can’t go wrong with him. He will be the only person that I call for similar issues. If this had ten stars 🌟 he would definitely get it. Very professional and he breaks it down so you can understand the issue. I can tell he likes to let his customer know the problem before he starts fixing it.

Kevin was punctual and provided me with fair pricing in comparison to others. He did annual maintenance on my HVAC system and water heater he explained everything he was doing along the way. I feel like my system is working much better than last year. I appreciate him coming out with appropriate PPE gear and cleaning up after himself. I will utilize KLC in the future!
