Stafford Home Service

Dusty was great. He explained everything he had done to tuneup the furnace and told us when to replace the humidifier filter. Very pleasant.

TLDR: Completely first-rate service from start to finish. Don’t bother with some of the high-price, high-pressure ‘services’ out there; trust Stafford to the do the job right and reasonably.

Detail: We have a 1958 home in southeast Bloomington that had an old (early 90s?) 20-circuit panel that was more ‘packed’ than we were comfortable with, and we were planning a few improvements that likely require power. We were apprehensive about finding a contractor during the pandemic due to supply, scheduling and price issues but decided to be ‘better safe than sorry’ and get the panel replaced. After careful research (BBB, Consumer’s Checkbook, Google/etc. reviews) on local contractors we came up with a short list of 5 Twin Cities area contractors and began the estimate process. To make a long story short, Stafford was the hands-down, no contest winner, both on price and perceived reliability, i.e., seemed more like they wanted to get even a small job done correctly than to just ‘close the sale.’ We scheduled with Stafford (they honored their initial price despite several weeks delay in me getting back to them) and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. From start to finish communication was excellent, estimate items were clear, unambiguous and brought us up to code, and any questions were answered in a short amount of time. On the day of the service, Eric and his coworker (can’t recall his name) were on time, polite, answered questions, worked the entire time, did not mess around on the job and were respectful of their surroundings. They also did an excellent job of leaving the workspace clean and in better shape than they found it. It’s been almost 12 weeks since we had the service performed and we’re extremely pleased that we went with Stafford. In brief, trust them; you won’t be disappointed.

Stafford Home Service did an amazing job installing an exhaust bath fan in our second story bathroom where one did not exist. They had the job done in 4 hours and it works great. All inclusive pricing which was appreciated. Would highly recommend.

Chris (electrician) and Dan (hvac) were both very knowledgeable and polite during their visits and assessment of my home. Both came on different days to evaluate and plan the appropriate improvements to my home. I have not yet contracted Stafford out, but most likely will simply due to their thoroughness and ability to communicate well and calmly.

We had a great installation today by Chris with Stafford Home Service! We have just purchased a new home and had a few electrical projects that needed to be completed for us to feel settled. Chris was very helpful, thorough, and kind. The prices were quite reasonable. Based on this experience, I would certainly do business with Stafford again and would recommend this company to others.

Stafford Home Service was excellent to work with starting from getting the estimate, scheduling the work to getting it done. I had contracted with them to install Exhaust fans and venting for it. A big shout out to Jason their operations manager, who worked with me on the pricing to get me what i needed in what I could afford. Tony who can to do the work was very courteous, patiently explained everything and did a good job. I had a minor glitch on how long fans were running and when i called them about it, they came back, no questions asked with a one day turnaround time and fixed it.

Steve is great! Had a major issue with our water heater and he was able to come towards the end of his work day to take a look and get our new water heater properly grounded and running. We had a old Federal Pacific electrical box that failed to trip the circuit when we had water gushing from our water heater, so that was scary, and had to be scheduled for replacement too. Steve came out on time the day of our appointment and did a very thorough job. Overall Stafford Home Service was very nice to work with and we’ll definitely be using them whenever we need electrical work done in the future.

I am so happy with work done by Stafford. They installed a new bathroom fan combo unit, moved some switches for my bathroom remodel and got my deck light working again for me. Very professional, friendly, and great communication throughout the process. They cleaned everything pristinely, were right on time and worked efficiently. For all they did, I felt the cost was reasonable. Would definitely use them again in the future. Thank you!

I have used the services from Stafford Home Service for about 14 years. Their work is solid. They are reliable, friendly, responsible and knowledgeable. Making appointments is easy. Their service people arrive on time and with advance notice. Their work is expedient, efficient and well-done. I appreciate Stafford Home Service for their dedication to the average home owner and for attacking each job as being important. No job is too small for their attention. Every job is important.

The responsiveness and professionalism of Stafford was excellent. We had 2 days worth of electric projects and the staff texted when they were in the way, arrived promptly, worked professionally and quickly. They observed Covid guidelines and were very considerate about having indoor and outdoor shoes that they switched depending on where they were working. They cleaned up really well after the project so you’d hardly know they were there (except for the great electrical updates to the house). Highly recommended!
