Just had Mr. Welter our to give us an estimate for some work we’re doing in our basement. He was honest in saying that we could save a lot by doing the work ourselves. I really appreciated his honesty and will definitely use the company for work when we actually need it!

After 20 frustrating minutes trying to get an appointment scheduled using Service Plus thru CenterPoint Energy I hung up and turned to Nextdoor to find a heating repair company.
Ray N. Welter Heating got rave reviews and they did not disappoint. Waking up to no heat in the house was not good but after a call to Welter, they arrived in 30 minutes and quickly fixed the problem. Highly recommend this company.

Nothing but a great experience with Welter Heating. We suspected we'd need a new furnace after we bought a new house - Welter came out and inspected, confirmed, and helped us through the whole process of buying a new furnace. They clearly identified all issues we'd face, got us a great deal, even offered us a discount and credited the cost of the initial inspection and cleaning towards the cost of a new furnace. Will definitely be using Welter Heating for all our HVAC projects in the future.

When my 35 yr old ac went out I called Welter heating and cooling. From start to finish I couldn't have been more pleased with these guys. Not only did they do a great job installing my units (I got a new furnace and a/c), but they fixed what the previous owner skewed up. They were very prompt on coming out to give me a bid, but that wasn't the best part. He showed me how to make my old furnace more efficient, by messing with the air flow of the ducts. I ended up replacing my 30 yr old furnace on its last legs, but it still felt good to know he wasn't just trying to sell me something I maybe didn't need/want. Thanks guys! I love my new A/C and 97% efficient furnace.

It's such a relief to have a heating company that really feels like they're looking out for you rather than just trying to sell you stuff for a short-term boost. Welter has helped us out twice this year, and both times their technicians figured out a straightforward way to get our furnace up and running again. The second time, a tech called me on a Sunday afternoon to diagnose the problem FOR FREE and tell me how to fix it myself—it was well below freezing and they could have made hundreds of overtime dollars off of us, but the tech very generously told me I could probably tackle this myself then explained how to get to the tricky part that wasn't working right. He then insisted I call back—again, over the weekend—to tell him how it went.

The employees I've dealt with have always been kind, knowledgable and endlessly helpful. I get that sometimes it's expensive to fix this stuff, but Welter has earned my loyalty 10 times over—based on my experience so far, if they tell you it's the only way, you can take their word for it. If you're nervous—like we were—about an HVAC company taking advantage of you, call Welter and never worry again.

Furnace stopped working on Christmas day. Called them at 8 the next morning; they said they could be out by early afternoon. They ended up being at my house before 9am. Everything was fixed in a timely (affordable!) manner. Will definitely call them again with future problems.

Todd was the consultant on the phone who was A+ and sold me right away by his honesty. They were supposed to show up at 730am and showed up at 720am which is a big deal to me. Andy was the technician and installed my new Trane furnace by 1pm. He was awesome. Everyone has their opinion but there are only 2 premium A+ companies for HVAC in the Twin Cities. Ray N Welter is #1. Ask to speak to Todd. That dude is $$. Best Hvac company in Twin Cities.

Incredibly thorough, efficient, knowledgeable and fair with their pricing. Ray came out to fix our air exchanger, and we were delighted with his service. We will continue to use him every year.

Our experience was very different. Two Winters ago when it was below 0, our furnace went out. I called Welter because they are in our neighborhood. I explained that we were elderly and my husband was very ill and we had no heat. It was 51 degree in our house. I was told by the person who answered the phone that if we did not purchase our furnace from them, they would not come out and look at it. They lost a sale and I won't call them again.

Undersized unit installed. Right after install, they wanted wanted fees to come and adjust fan speed. A/C installed on unstable pad. Won't use again.
