Soderlin Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning

My wife set-up an appointment to have an undermount bathroom sink bowl installed, to replace a sink bowl that had cracked. Joel arrived within the service window. It was immediately apparent that it was not work he wanted to do, for whatever reason. He informed me that it's a 'very rare' job...which is hard to believe as these are quite common. I had a replacement sink bowl purchased and ready to go. After pondering it a bit, he came back with a quote of $752. According to several contractor friends I'd spoken with, this is DOUBLE what the high-end cost for this job should've been. Joel noted that the job would take about 2 hours; it's was only sealing the sink to the marble and the reconnecting the pipes. So almost $400/hr for his time? I feel it was a straight-up swindle and he just inflated the cost so he'd walk out without any work and the $69 visit fee. I'm assuming this is a common practice with Soderlin, to inflate prices and then laugh all the way to the bank when they've conned the customer or walk away with $69 for 10 mins of poking around. We were scammed. I would caution working with this outfit, especially without any price range estimate before the service visit (which Joel said they don't do). Had Soderlin come out to evaluate my mini-split. The tech was extremely thoughtful in the evaluating the situation and just charged the service evaluation fee with some advice to do a simple fix. Really appreciated that he didn’t gouge me with what turned out to be a simple filter issue. 👍

I called Soderlin Plumbing because they have been around South Minneapolis for years. From the first call, to problem solved, I was impressed.
The issue was, I have had such horrible water pressure going to my outside water faucet for years. My sprinkler was only able to get about 3 feet high.
Ken came over and assessed the issue within 10 minutes and recommended a solution. I agreed and he got to work. Ken was trustworthy and experienced. I am 100% pleased with the results and I no longer have sprinkler envy of my neighbors. Thank you so much Ken!

Joe (Joel?) came out and fixed two things at our place and he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They seem to be much more reasonably priced than other places as well. Highly recommend.

Had a crack in our main drain pipe, and Soderlin was able to get there the fastest, and gave a helpful estimate with all the options for what could get fixed and replaced. They were on time to do the work and we're very easy to work with.

Service was great - Appointment requested by phone, good communication before appointment, professional quote and service from Ken after inspecting the problem, broken tub faucet fixed under 90 minutes. Thank you for fixing our basement shower! ✌️

They installed a new water heater for me and initially it worked very well. After a few months it started getting flaky -- it warmed the water inconsistently, sometimes hot, sometimes cold, but usually lukewarm. I called and they sent someone out who admitted he didn't know anything about tankless water heaters and said that the problem was that all my showers and sinks had developed flow issues such that they didn't draw enough water to fully engage the heater. I've measured the flow and the sinks, at least, draw sufficient water that the heater should provide hot water.

The folks are Soderlin are amazing. Joel came out to check out a leak and some water pressure issues that we were having. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, laid out several options for fixes (long term vs. short term, variety of price ranges). We chose our fix and got on the schedule quickly. Joel came back and got the job done quickly and neatly. He walked us through all of the fixes and made sure everything was functioning before he left. Highly recommend this company and will be using again!

Soderlin's Jeff Johnson and Ian were awesome installing our new boiler. Their new piping is a work of art! They came early and cleaned up after themselves. Very professional. On top of that, Soderlin had the most competitive bid. Highly recommended.

Amazing quick repair of our kitchen leak behind the wall at a fair price. Our plumber was on time and courteous. I am very happy to know this has been repaired correctly. We had a different plumber out here a couple weeks ago, obviously trying to take advantage of us, but Soderlin gave us a fair quote for the job.
