Jeff Johnson and his apprentice Ian came out during the Christmas week 2022 polar vortex and replaced a boiler for us and restored the heat! They were prompt, professional, and just good people! I highly recommend them!

We hired Soderlin Plumbing for our upstairs bathroom leak and repair. Our experience consisted of incompetent work, leaks, and attempting to bill us (twice) for work that was part of the original contract

• Our new tub wasn’t properly vented upon installation.

• Upon removal of the old vanity the sink drain needed to be relocated. We had plumber Ken return to do. We created an access through the main floor living room ceiling to re-route the drain and join it up with another upstairs bathroom drainpipe. (Since this wasn’t included in the original bid, we paid extra for this work.)

• When scheduling the inspector, Ken told us to not let the inspector look at the tub drain (since it was a replacement there was no inspection needed on this work). He said it was done ‘correctly’ but keep the inspector looking at the sink drain and not the tub.

• The inspector flagged the tub drain.

• Ken returned to fix the issue and presented us with a $1,200 bill to fix what he didn’t do right.

• My husband and I patched our living room ceiling and applied a labor-intensive Italian Carerra finish.

• Soon afterward the living room ceiling began leaking at the joint where the 2 drains came together.

• We fired Ken and had another plumber from Soderlin come out. Three holes were opened in the newly finished ceiling and was determined the ring around the joint wasn’t tight enough.

• Immediately the blame game started saying it was the contractor (who did the ceiling) that caused the joint to leak.

• My husband and I did the work and didn’t shove a 2x4 (that ran the length of the ceiling) under the pipe. The 2x4 in question had been there for years.

• Jason in management insisted someone else caused the issue and refused to come and look at the 2x4 that was removed. He stood by his plumber Ken (who was the one who did a shoddy job on the tub ventilation and told us to not let an inspector look in that direction.)

• We put this debate on the back burner and asked Jeff to come and finish our bathroom. The toilet, sink, and fixtures needed to be installed (the price of the toilet and installing the sink and fixtures was all included in the original bid.)

• When Jeff put the fixtures on the tub and tested it, there was water on our living room floor. He had put an O-ring on incorrectly.

• Jeff insisted we needed to pay $1139 for a new toilet and installation. He refused to look at the original paperwork showing the toilet and installation of sink and fixtures was included.

• Jeff wouldn’t leave our property without a credit card number to pay a bill we didn’t owe.

I highly recommend Soderlin. For several weeks our boiler kept intermittently shutting off. I called two other plumbing and heating companies and they couldn't figure out the cause. I called Soderlin and Jeff Johnson was able to diagnose the problem immediately and fix the boiler that day. It has been running great ever since. Jeff was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I felt I finally had someone competent taking care of things. Thanks Soderlin!

The plumber who stopped was personable and professional and I have no issues with him. My issue is that Soderlin agreed to do a job (clearing a clogged drain) that they were not equipped to do. After telling me their tools were not sufficient to clean the drain, I was given numbers of who to call and charged $69 for the service call. I made it clear what my issue was when I scheduled the appointment and they accepted the job. If they were not equipped to handle the job, why did they accept it and charge me to be in the same predicament I was in before they arrived?

I have used Soderlin over the 20 years I have lived in my old house. They have come when I needed them and even in the middle of the night.
Jeff recently came to repair toilet tank inner workings. He also replaced a leaky faucet. He was early, worked efficiently, cleaned up after, and he was pleasant, as they always are. I am moving so I will not have them service me anymore. I will miss the great service and work that Soderlin Plumbing have provided. We had a leaking water heater that needed to be replaced. We had called the original installer to fix it. We spent days trying to get them to give us a quote and install a new water heater, all the while having to mop up leaking water regularly. Exasperated that we were getting no where, I called Soderlin this morning. They sent Jeff Johnson out within the hour. He was fabulous! He discussed our options with me. Also, he took the time to get on the phone and discuss the options with my husband, who had many questions. With all questions answered, we went ahead with the new water heater, which is part of a high energy system, and not your usual water heater. By 1:00 pm we had the new water heater installed! It was incredible that: 1) Soderlin had the one we needed on hand, 2) that they could get it to us within an hour, and 3) that it could be installed immediately. Jeff was fantastic to work with - professional, personable, knowledgeable, patient with our questions and all around a great person to be working with. We are totally satisfied with the process and workmanship.

I called up Soderlin because of the great reviews they had on Google and I was not disappointed. Jeff showed up in a snow storm and quickly diagnosed my issues and resolved them efficiently. He delivered excellent customer service and I will not hesitate to call Soderlin up in the future!

I called up Soderlin again for a look at the gas line to my dryer. Justin came by and was super helpful. He got my issue fixed and even gave me great suggestions and thoughts for future work that might need to be done. I will continue reaching out to them for service!

I continue to receive excellent customer service from the folks at Soderlin. They have installed air conditioning, fixed my kitchen sink, redone my gas line and installed my oven. I've been pleased every time I've worked with them.

I want to write two reviews so I can give Soderlin 10 stars. I called late in the afternoon about my water heater leaking, and originally we scheduled someone to come out first thing the next morning. I got a call back less than 10 minutes later, someone agreed to take an extra job for the day to come check out my problem and help us out. Jeff Johnson was absolutely fantastic!! He helped explain everything to me in a way I could understand, was polite, professional, kind and quick! I couldn't think of a single thing that could've made my experience with Soderlin any better. They'll get more business from me for sure! Thanks Jeff, Ian and everyone else at Soderlin!!

Jason from Soderlin gave us a quote for a needed water heater and came back and installed it 2 days later. We had cheaper quotes, but knowledge base as we talked assured is their choice of brands and their work were of highest quality. That knowledge showed during install, and they were finished faster then the originally planned and left a clean site. Jason also walked me through all the information we needed as the homeowner for many carefree years with our new water heater.
