I have purchase two furnace/air conditioner combinations from Residential in the past 10 years (in different houses!) and their installation process and on-going service has been exceptional. Highly recommended!

Our AC went out over the Memorial Day weekend. We sent a message through the website and got a call back from Chris (the owner) who said that he was heading into do some paperwork on Memorial Day and would be happy to come by to check it out. He was on time and within an hour (even with driving to Carrier to pick up the necessary part) our AC was back on! Exemplary service EVERY time!!! We highly recommend Residential.

My sister had this company out to diagnose her furnace on Dec. 31st, which was running, but not blowing out heat. She called me to say that a service technician had come out earlier and said it was the inducer blower. He had to run to New Hope to pick a new one up. I told her I would stop by with a portable heater to keep the house temp. up till he returned. When I got there the tech was pulling in at the same time. He installed the blower, which took 15 minutes. As he was writing up the invoice I ask him what went out on it, the motor or what? He said, yeah the motor just go out after awhile. Well my background is not in HVAC, however I have had many years as a machine mechanic's, and I have had a business as a residential remodeler for 28 years. I know an inducer blower only has three part to it that can go bad, the fan, the AC motor, and the motor capacitor, which is what usually fails. I told him I would like to keep the old one, so he left it. I checked out the unit and found out it was just the capacitor that had failed. This is a very easy testing procedure with a multimeter, and replacing it is nothing more than loosing two nuts. When I replaced it the unit ran fine. This is a $7.58 part. Which is a common part that any HVAC tech should have in his van. My sister was charged $697. for a complete unit which even at that is only $171. retail, plus the labor, 15 minute's diagnosis, and 15 minutes installation. Their normal service charge is $149. which includes the first 30 minutes.

So what I saying in summary is. She was severely taken advantage of, as someone that knows nothing of HVAC, as most people don't.

I called the following Monday and ask to speak to the manager, I was given the operations manager. I explained to her all of the above mentioned facts, and we were disconnected. I called back, and said sorry we were cut off there. She said, no I hung up on you , don't call back or I will call the police and tell them you are harrasing me.

Very happy with the installation of our ductless/split AC/heat system. Professional, timely, and knowledgeable. Would definitely use again.

Surprised by a carbon monoxide high reading at the beginning of a cold snap and boilers turned off... We needed to scramble. Residential came to the rescue. They got our heat delivering as promised in less than a week. As promised, I should add. We did get other bids and did our research. We got a good product at a fair price. Chris was great.

When buying my home, I had the task of removing the huge octopus furnace and ended up going with Residential Heating & Air. They did an amazing job, their price was competitive, everyone was friendly and I didn't have to do anything but let them in the house. Would recommend to anyone needing heating/air conditioning work!

I spoke to Renee over the phone. She was fantastic and suggested few next steps, without setting up a service call. Loved your inputs and honesty. Thank you.

I don't like giving 1 star reviews but I've had two appointments with Residential Heating and Air Conditioning (one for my furnace maintenance and the other for air conditioning maintenance). On both occasions they showed up significantly late. For the furnace, we told them anytime in the am would work, but that we had a holiday party in the pm. The technician showed up during the holiday party around 4 hours late. Today for our air conditioning unit they told us they would be here from 8-9. We called them when they didn't show up and they said they had us scheduled for 10-12. This resulted in lost PTO for my husband and a shifting of my schedule and appointments because he had to leave to go to work. Regardless of the competence of the technicians, this company has a serious problem with scheduling and it needs to be resolved before I could recommend their services to anyone.

In Response to Residential Heating and Air Conditioning Reply. Thank you for the free furnace maintenance. However, to clear things up, I completely understood not being able to conduct the air condition maintenance in the rain and lighting. I however, expect that the scheduled timeframe be kept. Today we scheduled our maintenance for 8-9 and the technician showed up at 10 am. This is also what happened during of furnace maintenance appointment last December. The challenge with not coming during the timeframe scheduled is that as a costumer I have no idea what time I should be here to let the technician in. Today my husband took PTO to be home. When you didn't show up my husband had to go to work and I had to cancel my plans. During our December appointment your technician came during my family's holiday celebration because they were 4 hours late.

I hope you can correct your internal appointment process and my next appointment will be within the timeframe the scheduler gives me. I will also be more then willing to change my review when/if this happens. Until then residential heating has a score of 0/2.

I'm in the home remodeling business and use Residential Heating & Air Conditioning on all of my projects, and have done so for years. They've always taken good care of me on installs as well as repairs. Whenever anyone asks for a referral I'm more than happy to send them to Residential Heating & Air Conditioning.

After having someone come out to do a standard check of the furnace (which had been working fine for five years) it stopped working. I called and the extremely rude woman scoffed after I suggested it couldn’t be a coincidence and said ‘Oh after 24 hours you finally called...’ The heat had been turned up to 76 by the technician the night before and it had only been 15 hours when I left for work. I only noticed it was cool when I came back. Can’t believe how I was treated and will NEVER use this company again.
