    Riley was excellent today in completing a thorough checkup of the furnace system. He answered
    all my questions and explained everything, also added good advice regarding general safety. Just excellent customer service. His apprentice Nolan was appreciated too.

    This is my first time leaving a negative review on here and I would highly suggest reading the one star reviews as my experience was exactly the same as the others. This all happened about a month ago and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.

    I had a leaking boiler sight glass and scheduled an appointment for Friday later in the afternoon. A tech named Jake came out to do the work. He went to the basement and began working on the boiler. I was never provided an estimate. Soon after he came to me with “bad news”. Apparently he busted off one of the valves for the sight glass. He gave me this big long story about how there’s nothing left to screw the valve into, how I need a new boiler, etc.

    He told me he didn’t have the part and I would need to go buy space heaters to prevent my pipes from freezing. How he didn’t have a sight glass valve and a 1/2” coupler is beyond me. He told me he wouldn’t have the part in until the following week but would try to find the parts and come back and told me I had to pay him $345 for the work done.

    I go to Lowe’s to get space heaters and he calls me up. Says he magically found the parts he needed and he would come back and complete the job. Im almost positive he had the parts on him and just used this as a tactic to charge me more money. Again I received no estimate. He got the heat working in about an hour and then sat in his truck for another hour and then told me I owed him another $845. Almost $1200 to replace a sight glass. All while telling me I needed a new boiler which would be around $10000.

    After this ordeal I contacted two other boiler folks recommended by friends. Both told me this company rips people off because they know they have people in a vulnerable spot if their heat isn’t working.

    Both people I talked to agreed that:

    1. There’s no way a boiler repair person wouldn’t have a 1/2” coupler and a sight glass valve

    2. The tech should have provided an estimate before performing the work

    3. I should consider filing a complaint with the state especially since they did not provide me an estimate before performing the work

    All in all I couldn’t have been unhappier with my experience with this company. I would highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

    I had a whole house Generac installed. The crew was very efficient in their work, very professional, respectful, answered all of my concerns. Wherever they worked they left things spotless. I definitely recommend RO Heating if you're considering getting a Generac.

    We have done business with ROHC for many many years. This week we had a steam pipe rust out under the bathroom floor and break off. Jake came over to assess the situation.He looked at the bathroom and the basement to check out the pipe situation. He gave us the best case scenario and the worse case scenario concerning our situation. It didn’t take him that long. We were presented with a $175 bill with nothing being done. It was an assessment. It took him another 15 minutes to write up a rambling suggestion of what needs to be done with the emphasis on ROHC would not be responsible for any demolition or repair to the walls and floor. I understood that when he told me that. My issue is a couple of things: I paid $175 for nothing. I didn’t find the write up helpful in fact I was very stressed out about it. I understand sometimes things in this house can get very expensive since it was built in 1926 but I realized that the next time I consider calling ROHC I would call other options first. I have nothing against jake he has been here before but I do question the amount of money charged for an assessment and additional half hour when all I got was a rambling assessment telling me what ROHC wouldn’t do. EDIT: ROHC reached out to me with my issues. I appreciate that and we rectified the problem at hand. I do have to say that makes a big difference for me. I am glad this company did this, most would not. I will call upon them again in the future. ML

    All the people that worked on installing our furnace did an amazing job! They were very professional and very diligent. We have a crawlspace and they had to install our furnace in very uncomfortable conditions. They did this job without complaining and worked for hours to get the job done. It Took them about three days and they showed up every day with a smile and good attitude! We were very pleased with the job they have done and they also worked on installing our AC unit outside. They did not complain about the cold weather and get it done that day. Excellent job and wonderful people to work with! I would hire all of them all over again if we need anything else done in our house!

    Josh was great! He gave me a courtesy call to alert me that he was 10 minutes away. He was professional and pleasant, and I appreciate that he wore shoe covers inside my house. He took his time and was very efficient, and he provided me with a detailed overview of the services he completed and also patiently answered my questions. Thank you!

    Who worked diligently to install efficiently and took care of the surrounding spaces of my home during removal of furnace and while installing new furnace and air conditioner. I would highly recommend them both. Thanks again Rich and Tom

    Jim did a fantastic job and got everything arranged so the boiler was taking up less space and I could reach all the necessary controls. He also gave me the information I needed to properly care for my new boiler - including knowing when something was wrong before it becomes an emergency. I can't give the business a 5 star because the first installer, while there was no technical issue, was not as good with CS, which is why Jim had to come make changes. I would give them 4.5 * if possible. ROHC&E been caring for my heating system for over 20 years and this is the first time I've had any complaints. So glad everything was quickly addressed and I will continue to use them and highly recommend them for your heating repairs.

    A holiday morning waking up to no heat. Prompt response on an emergency call with a repair done in a few hours. Have used Royal Oak Heating & Cooling in the past and have always been satisfied. This call no exception. Repairman Steven T responsive and efficient. Cleaned up afterward. Would highly recommend
