Had a great experience with Mr. Furnace today. Amy was super helpful on the phone, and Adam the tech arrived really fast and was very nice. He explained my problem to me like I'm not an idiot, which made me feel good, because I am an idiot. Everything was all fixed up promptly and now I'm good to go until we find another one of the previous homeowner's "fixes." Thanks!

On June 2, 2022 Mr. Furnace came to my house to inspect my central air. The tech found there wasn't any coolant in the system and suggested there could be a leak. I gave him permission to check for a leak. This consisted of installing 6 pounds of coolant and then testing the pressure of the system. According to the tech there was a small leak that could possibly be resolved by adding a dye pack that was also a sealant.. I allowed him to insert the dye pack after him telling me that the leak was so small that the sealant would "probably fix it " Guess what - I paid $949 and there is not any cool air coming out. I turned it on 6/15/2022. I called Mr. Furnace on 6/16/2022 to tell them there is not any cool air coming out of the vents, and they offered to come out for a $400 - $600 service call. Because I already paid almost $1,000 to have it fixed, I'm out of funds.
Apparently the 30 day warranty is labor only, parts 90 days.
Question is - was it really a small leak or was it a big leak that was misrepresented as being a small leak in order to collect easy cash? Was the tech a scammer or incompetent?
When I plan on replacing the system, it will not be from Mr. Furnace.

TLDR: a very complex situation that I thought I would end up screwed. Any other ac business would have left me hanging on this. NOPE! Mr. Furnace never gave up on doing what's right for the customer at no cost to me. Eventually found and fixed a problem that was difficult to solve.

Full story: I have a duplex with old vents, a dual zoning system and a lot of unique challenges. I got a new AC unit in 2018. Everything was fine, except for those really hot days the upstairs was boiling.bainxe those days were rare, I would have Mr. Furnace out once a year when it happened. Come 2022 summer was hotter than usual and I was already aware something was wrong with my ac system on very hot days. Mind you I got this ac unit 4 years ago and it was out of warranty for free service. Eventually Mr furnace found the multiple issues that made my system cool my house on even the most brutal hot days. The problem was the hottest air upstairs was not returning downstairs before the cold air from the middle floor. They calibrated my zoning, added a new temperature sensor for return air, and increased my return air volume of the upstairs air. This was done over 3 visits in 2022 and a visit once per summer of every year. Mr furnace did all that to make my system right and keep me comfortable all without charging me even after my warranty for labor was expired. THANK YOU!

We came home after a weekend up north with family to find our furnace not igniting. Thankfully when I called mr furnace they were able to send someone out the same day and make the quick repair that it needed at a very good price! We even added a furnace tune up since the prices were affordable. Chad, the technician was very professional and able to answer all of my questions about the furnace and other questions I had about potentially changing our thermostat. Over all very happy with the experience!!

Very honest salesman sold us a wonderful new furnace and AC units. The gentlemen who came to install the units were very nice and respectful of our house. They put up a drop cloth so we wouldn't feel too uncomfortable while the old furnace was removed and the new one put in. They even shoveled out our steps for us! I would highly recommend Mr. Furnace as they gave us their best price first and didn't jerk us around like two other furnace companies did.

Great to work with initially with great prices, but I see why and where they failed. Their bank desired to state that the check for the services “bounced.” I was put on hold and the bank, Huntington, stated that they would not reprocess. The team member started to get an attitude when I asked a question about it and when I could be there to write a new check; which is fine to write a new one. I was informed that I would be charged an extra fee for the check bounding where there was no issues with the account or my bank, who was called after my interaction with this individual, who stated there was no bounced check….interesting! Regardless her attitude and jumping to “putting a lien on my property” is poor business practice. I will NEVER use this company for services again and have told all my referrals to go elsewhere for any HVAC needs!

That is sad to say because based of this experience you have been having Huntington Bank give false NSFs for over 40 years to consumers at random! What a complete bad business edict to have! I am happy to say I will only be using you for the warranty since I have to for any warrantable issues that occur. Also, as we discussed on the phone I will be bringing ANOTHER check to you. Not my problem that your bank had a false NSF when I confirmed with my bank they never tried to process the check number. I look forward to going to Huntington Bank and having the check processed with us BOTH being present.

Chad was great! We are in the process of selling our home and during the inspection, it was identified that our furnace had a leak. I called and Mr. Furnace was able to come out the next day and get it repaired. Reasonable and always on time. What more could you ask for?

After a recent brown out my furnace would not light and the blower was just running non -stop. We endured one night with three kids and two pets without heat. The next morning I called Mr Furnace at 8:00 am. They were at my house before 9:00. Typically this issue causes the main control board to be damaged and need to be repaired which is hundreds of dollars. The tech took his time to check the wiring and found a simple zero cost fix and got the furnace reset in less than 10 minutes.

After being told we needed to replace our furnace we had Mr. Furnace out for a second opinion. They found the furnace to be in good shape. Saved us money and were very honest. They were also very helpful with issues we had with the mini split unit. Happy to find a trustworthy company with helpful employees. Chad and Matt were both helpful when they came for the service appointments.
