Suburban Heating & Cooling

I have been using Suburban for all my heating and cooling needs for nearly 30yrs.
And they are always professional on time and and fairly priced.
The lastest issue was my mother was stressing about her AC going out.
I called Suburban and they were out to service my mothers AC within two and a half hours of the call the same day and it was hot so I know they were busy.
I was very impressed and my 83 yr. Old mother was taken care of in a timely manner and her AC was up and running within three hours of me placing the call to Suburban.
So thank you so much guys.

My AC went out 3 days before our high schoolers grad party. Nobody was available to come and replace on short notice - except Suburban. They gave me a quote, and came out 2 days later. Their cost was $800 or more better than 2 other quotes I received who couldn't come for 1-3 weeks and offered what I considered smaller/inferior AC units(Suburban uses Lennox)...They were quick, professional and did a great job and cleanup. Overall super satisfied with their work and will refer them to anyone that needs help.

I have depended on this company since 2012. I have a number of rental properties. They always respond promptly, they give me good service and advice, they have fair prices for replacement of furnaces and air conditioning systems. I highly recommend them.

In April 2017, I had a new Bryant furnace and AC, Aprilaire humidifier, and Bradford White water heater installed by Suburban. As of the date of this review, inspection has not occurred. I’ll update this review if there are any notable issues.

I solicited bids for this work from five companies in the area that had positive reviews on Google and positive ratings with the BBB. Suburban’s bid was the lowest and they had the longest labor warranty. Considering they have been in business for decades and that I preferred to have Bryant equipment, I felt comfortable using their services.

Jon, the owner, was very professional at all stages. I initially asked companies to give me an estimate over the phone or via email because I knew the model numbers I wanted and the issues any company is likely to encounter at my home. Some companies were unwilling to give an estimate over the phone, which I found to be inconvenient. (If a company’s bid isn’t even going to be competitive, there’s no need to waste anyone’s time in scheduling a visit.) Jon responded very quickly, and had no trouble answering my many questions. I appreciated Suburban’s willingness to email me an estimate. They then confirmed it would be the quoted price after an in-person inspection once I selected Suburban to complete the work. I also appreciated Suburban’s willingness to let me pay a portion of the total due after the work passed inspection, which I think most companies are willing to do.

On the day of installation, three guys—Hank, Sergio, and Mike—arrived about 8am. They worked steadily until completion around mid-afternoon. They seemed to get along and have fun while they worked. Each of them were professional and seemed to know what they were doing. They were also careful to not scuff my floor or walls.

The inspector had no issues with Suburban's installation.

Overall, I’m very impressed with Suburban’s salesmanship and installation so far. I cannot speak to the quality of their service calls, but I am confident they will stand behind their work if I ever have an issue. I will be sure to update this review when I need annual/emergency services performed.

Great experience! Isaac and the team did an awesome job! Professional, clean and handled a little snafu with perfection! The estimate was prompt and installation was the next day when I decided this was the company I would go with. I highly recommend! They didn’t try to upsell me on anything which truly put me at ease.

The blower motor on my furnace stopped working. Because I have DTE Home Protection Plus-Whole Home Protection Plan, I called them and the soonest service could be there was 6 days. I called around to several h/c companies and date of service appointments ranged from 5-10 days! This is when temps. are in the 30's at night. I called Suburban and they were able to send service that day! Scott arrived within 2 hours of my initial call. He was able to repair our 30 year old furnace but also said that we will need to replace it soon, due to the age. He was surprised that it is still working at 30. Scott also gave me an estimate on a new furnace and a/c unit. Once we decide when we will get a new one, we will definitely call Suburban.

Doug and Scott are great! Our home has two furnaces and two AC units due to an addition. The quotes were competitive and the installs were all done with quality. Anytime we have had an issue, they come out right away to resolve. We have been very pleased with Suburban Heating & Cooling. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

As first time homebuyers of an old house, we have encountered countless unwelcome surprises in our first year, and Suburban has been there every time to remedy the situation. Whether saving us from potential CO2 harm or installing new AC and lower furnace, I can't say enough positive things about how responsive, efficient, and helpful everyone on the team is.
