When our gas furnace broke a few weeks ago (the heat exchanger was overheating and the only solution was to replace the furnace), we needed to find an HVAC contractor who could get a new furnace and install it in the shortest amount of time. This is not a trivial task. Alvin Hollis salesman found a furnace of the size we needed in stock, ready for delivery next day. Alvin Hollis delivered and replaced the furnace in just one day! And the price was very competitive. The installation process was very efficient. While the new gas furnace was being delivered to their shop (for a late morning delivery), the installers arrived to our house and started removing the old furnace early in the morning (ahead of time.) THis efficency allowed for the entire replacement of the furnace to be done in half a day. We will use Alvin Hollis again for future HVAC work.

I have always had a great experience with employees, service, equipment, prices and efficiency. I have use oil heat, Central AC, and a Mitsubishi heater/AC combo. They service all the equipment with fair prices and are always on time.
I would love to know if they can professionally clean out the baseboards that obviously get very dusty. My allergies are killing me. I hope to touch base to find out.
Very pleased and feel confident in Alvin Hollis.

I bought a home were Alvin Holis installed a Bosch water heater/boiler. He had been installed and servicing it for 6 years. I noticed a water leak in the unit and asked if they could come out to repair the unit they installed. They said they are not accepting new customers at this time because I didn’t pay for the unit, even though they had been out to service the heater a few months before. They also forgot to install a clean out valve for the system (for descaling) so when they said they were servicing it they just wanted to collect a check for not doing work.
So this tells me they don’t stand by their work, their installers don’t know the products they are installing, and they don’t need your business to survive. Don’t waste your time even calling.
Just trying to share my honest experience with them.

First of all nobody from your company ever visited my house. Please tell me who and when they actually showed up. If you diagnosed the problem, what was the broken part? You can't have ordered something without knowing what was broken....flat out lie! Since your company said they can't come out to diagnose the problem I ended up call Boston Standard and they came out that afternoon. I had a leak and they fixed it that next day. Your techs. couldn't come up for over a week so how could they have "diagnosed and ordered" a part that was already fixed by another company???
Not only do you have bad service and continue to tell people you don't have time for them but you are now showing you will lie online to cover up a honest review.

Never had an issue, they've never let me run out of oil. When the tech came for my initial inspection he was very knowledgeable about what he was servicing and also other things I picked his brain about. As a new home owner I appreciated that

I've used Alvin Hollis now for three different installations. All hydronic heating systems. The latest a radiant system. I met with three other potential vendors and it was clear Alvin Hollis understood the issues with radiant better than anyone. The results were great. The system works great and the installation even looks neat and organized. The technicians were great to work with when I wanted things done a certain way they had no problem accommodating me.
I also told Alvin Hollis I wanted to eventually explore adding solar heat to the system and it's all ready now if I want to add solar.
I highly recommend Alvin Hollis.

We could not be happier with Alvin Hollis. They were our oil provider for 3 years, came in the middle of the night once because we did not have heat and stayed until he could fix the problem. Most recently, we converted from oil to gas (sad to leave Alvin Hollis) and they went above and beyond in customer service. Jim Bicknell walked me through every step and always called me back immediately. We had some issues with National Grid and Alvin Hollis reassured us they would come out and hook us up the minute we got word from National Grid. And they sure did, they were so quick to respond and got our heat up and running. Couldn't support/promote a better local company than Alvin Hollis.
