Frustrated….
The mini split system they installed in 2016 started to malfunction a year ago and required multiple visits and refrigerant recharge. Turns-out the Mueller line sets they used have been shown to be defective - the insulation apparently creates acidic conditions that corrodes the copper lines. Mueller accepts no responsibility and blames the installer for not sealing the insulation terminations. A-Plus wants $5000 to replace the line sets. They chose the line set and did the installation, but assume no liability for the situation — I expected better from this highly rated company. Make sure you understand the warranty when you consider various estimates. I feel betrayed and hung-out to dry — I can no longer trust A-Plus
My 5 year old water heater needed repair, they tried to sell me a $4000 or $7000 new water heater. We called the equipment company, it was only a $10 replacement part. I felt like I was getting ripped off and can't trust their advice.
It must be mentioned that Mark (I deleted the text and pray I have the right name since I did not receive a customer satisfaction survey for him) who diagnosed the problem was the one who initially did my HVAC maintenance (when I switched from one company to A-Plus) was extremely important. He began to know my system and was determined to find out the problem regarding why I was not receiving heat.
This is a company who I feel communicate with one another to create a team approach. Why do I share this? It’s because when I first contacted the company, I was told I received my maintenance check and I called back to explain what I felt was an emergency. Lisa, understood, problem shot and today I have heat!
APlus was able to schedule me within a reasonable time to do a maintenance cleanup checkup of my heater which has not been maintained in a couple of years. Edward Henry came as scheduled, he was efficient, professional, courteous and respectful of property. And unlike other companies, they don’t oversell any of their services. After the work they’ll send you an email of their packages and gives you time to think it over! No pressure sales going on, just quality work and performance! Would definitely do regular system checks and maintenance with them from here on in.
The service provided was indeed A+! I appreciated the reminders before the scheduled appointment, and I really appreciated the text message informing me that the technician was on his way. The appointment occurred during the projected time frame, and the technician ( Marc ) was professional & friendly. He is knowledgeable about the work he performs, and he readily identified the issues and resolved them. Thank you, Marc, and thank you A+!
Jeff and Dave arrived on time and were respectful of my home and property. I had a 17 year old AC and 35 year old furnace replaced with an Carrier Infinity System. The technicians were professional, organized and left the work area spotless. They took care to remove old equipment, and swept the work area both days. A Plus gets an A++ in my book. Both my husband and I highly recommend A Plus HVAC.
We’ve had multiple problems with our system the last couple of years and with it being a fairly new A Plus system that has been quite disappointing. But today was our first malfunctioning issue this year - again, disappointing but Ed came right out, was very helpful and even came back with a space heater for temporary relief. And it was nice to have Lisa be so responsive.
I don’t think I’ve dealt with a better company when it comes to customer service! Carmelo Torres was so professional, he responded immediately, and he catered to my needs! I highly recommend!! 10/10
