I am subscribed to the home value plan. Every time a maintenance call is scheduled it has been canceled and it is on me to call and reschedule. It happened 3x for the heating inspection, 2x for the electrical inspection, and now today the same thing for the AC inspection. No respect for the customers time. Always “too many emergency calls and we can’t make it”. Cranney is not the only one who works. Cant sit around waiting for a company that never shows. Service level has declined in my opinion. I have been a long term customer.

I’ve had a Value Plan with Cranney for 2+ years now on my 3 unit rental property and they have been a lifesaver with multiple types of heating and plumbing problems. Most of their technicians have been friendly, never talked down to me, and have never tried to upsell me. Being a Value Plan member has saved me literally thousands of dollars over the past several years. I’m happy I found them for all of my plumbing, heating, and electrical needs.

Marcus Alves, the technician from Cranney, was friendly and efficient. Got the job done quickly and cleanly- convinced me into the membership and also gave some general advice and pointers. Great first service provided by Cranney!

Alex the electrician is 10 stars! Thorough, efficient, communicates well, and has great design sense. No reservations about recommending him and Cranney Home Services. Love Zack the plumber, he gets 10 stars too!
Good recommendations and accomplished new upstairs plumbing for tub, shower, and laundry with efficiency and care for older home.
So glad I chose Cranney Home Services!

This was the best plumbing experience I can remember. I called Cranney about a dripping faucet. A technician (Ryan Porter) came out the next morning (I got a 30 minute notification ahead of time as promised). He was prompt, polite, and very knowledgeable. He started by explaining the possible diagnoses and repairs (including cost), then began with the first (and least expensive repair). He talked us through everything he was doing and took pictures on his phone to show us. Unfortunately, it turns out that we do need a new faucet but at least we know everything else was tried first. We will order the new faucet and have Ryan come back to install it. As I told Ryan, I am kind of glad now that we had this problem. In the past when we have had plumbing issues we were always at a loss on who to call. We have had mixed results from some previous companies we have used so, after seeing Cranney trucks frequently in my town I decided to give them a try. I am very glad I did! I like the company's transparency and that there were no surprises in the charge. I give Cranney and Ryan both 5 stars and we will use them again and recommend them to friends.

I would not recommend them for any type of electrical work. I needed to have knob and tube wiring replaced all throughout my hone. All Cranney will do is try and sell, sell, sell and are only interested in money so be prepared for multiple sales calls if you get an estimate from them. After 7 total estimates I had done they came in the highest and for the same work. All of the other 6 estimates were quoted at 30% of what Cranney quoted. They also charge almost 250$ for just the estimate itself and then slap you with an astronomical amount for the work to be done. I also didn’t fell the staff I met in person to even be qualified for the job let alone give an accurate estimation.

I strongly advise to not use this company.
We hired them twice for electrical work. The first time went fairly well, although the cost was double what most electricians charge.
The second time, we hired them to fix a light switch. The quoted price was $350. We paid, but the electrician left the job incomplete. It turns out that the $350 was a diagnostic fee, which I unknowingly signed for. When I spoke to Eric Brewer, the manager, it took two phone calls, and lots of talking to realize he had no intention of trying to fix our issue or make us happy. Instead, he sadistically asked me the same questions over and over, all the while saying "I'm just trying to figure this out". We would have happily paid the difference to have the light switch fixed.

Matthew Desroches was an amazing representative of Cranney Home Services field staff. He was professional, informative, courteous, and personality goes along way when you're welcomed into someone's private space. He checked off all the boxes! He informed me of his objective for the home visit followed by a play-by-play overview of his findings and next course of action. He left a strong impression that he had my best interest at hand. This is not hard to sense. When you know, you know. You can tell that he takes immense pride in his work. I'm happy that I selected Cranney to troubleshoot my HVAC issues, and happy that Mathew was assigned my order.

The technician Matt was very thorough evaluating my heating
system. He explained in detail all issues relating to the status
of my system, what problems I may anticipate in the future,
how much they may cost and when high repair costs may suggest
purchasing a new system.
I was very satisfied with this evaluation provided free from
Cranney to customers who are members of their discount plan.
