    My A/C unit was frozen and wouldn’t turn on even after it thawed I gave ABC COOLING & HEATING a call and had a man out here the same day and my unit was fixed the next day definitely would call them again and really recommend

    The appointment for an estimate was timely and the price was very competitive. Notifications came in that were very helpful. Staff arrive exactly as promised. Dressed professionally and well spoken they got to work immediately and knew what the details of the work before arriving. They disconnected the compressor, built a new landing for its new location, moved the unit and replaced and redirected all tubing and electrical. The outcome looks very professional and proper. Testing was done to insure it was working. Very impressed.

    NOTE: in his response, he never mentioned that he came to check on the unit. Very telling.

    I called Mike about a month after his workers installed my $6,500 AC unit. The upstairs back bedroom was not cooling when the temp was set to 73; it was barely blowing. The very first thing he said was: What temperature is it set on?" Subsequent conversations were a downhill spiral. He never once responded with a 'let me take a look, that shouldn't be happening."

    Obviously, the concept of guaranteeing his work is unknown to him, at least in my case it was.

    Instead I got SHOUTED on at least two occasions. He said:

    1) I don't know why you think you deserve special treatment
    2) I don't need you calling me up giving me grief (first thing in the morning), I did what you paid me to do
    3) Look, I'm on vacation, call me next week
    4) What, I don't get to go on vacation.
    5) I'm in the car, driving back from an emergency (with a customer?), you gonna have to call me back.

    It has taken me over a month to write this. I was extremely insulted and a few other emotions. One reason I used Mike two years ago for a $500 attempt at fixing this is because he said he couldn't schedule me right away because he had to take care of his regulars. I thought, 'here is someone who understands customer care! I'll wait for him'.

    That was not true in my case. I was disrespected on every call in a big way.

    Finally - Mike is white man, I'm a Black woman. It is impossible to endure such an ugly encounter and not examine the that role race played.

    Mike never called to apologize, nothing.

    Leaving this review does not lessen the impact of his attack on my 'humanness,' nor assuage the blatant display of his ZERO professionalism.

    It does, however, speak volumes about him.

    I do not remember my techs name but he did as awesome job. He came out on 8/9 to the Hamilton Hills area. He was quick, knowledgeable and was determined to get my AC working again. Extremely reasonable in price as well. ABC is now my forever repair company.

    Mike and company came out for a service call the next day, which was a holiday, so I wasn't expecting anyone for a couple days. Was on-time and polite throughout the entire visit, taking care to explain what was wrong, what needed fixing, and why. Upfront pricing option and fast work. Also, service call comes with a 90day-24/7 warranty/guarantee, which is comforting, should a new issue arise.
