Brandt Heating and Air Conditioning

We love our new air conditioner and furnace, and were very satisfied with the workmanship and the customer service that we received before and after installation.

Haven't ever used this business, but if they work we poorly as they drive I will definitely never use there service. Our pilot light wouldn't stay lit on our furnance. This was on a Sunday morning so we contacted the after hours tecnician at Brandt. They respnded to our call the same morning and had a technician out to look at the problem by 1:30 pm. The technician was professional and courteous, resolving the issue in about half an hour.

I have been in real estate for almost 40 years in Cedar rapids, so finding a reliable heating and cooling person in Iowa City was new to me. Brandt heating and air was my first call. They are top notch. They called a day in advance and showed up on time. The service man was knowledgeable and honest about the problem and fixed the issue. We have had Brandt “save” us at least 3 times now. We had our aging furnace give out on Thanksgiving one year and with a 6 month old, they were there restoring heat. Our (aging again) air conditioner went out when we had our second daughter, and again they came out for an emergency repair. During our last save, the furnace finally died at the end of a remodel, and they were able to come and install a new furnace within a day. We will continue to call Brandt for all our needs, as they have been wonderful for service calls and emergency calls.

Brett was prompt, very pleasant and courteous. He came to check a gas fireplace I had never used for over four years since I moved in. He was honest told me it was working great and only needed to be cleaned which he did well. He taught me how to use it as I had never used it and how it worked. He also let me know about a cold air leak and even told me how to go about fixing it. Brett was awesome and I appreciate the time he took to make the service call exceptional.

I love my mini-split AC installed in my dog training building. It performs even better than promised. It had a breakdown initiated by the storm. Andy came to look at our furnace. He was very friendly, professional, and detailed. I had additional questions that came up after he left and Brandt did a great job taking time to answer my questions. I have called on them for the past 10 years and will definitely use them in the future. I highly recommend their work.

Our AC quit working during the last heat wave. Naturally at that time Brandt was booked up for over a week. But one of their technicians finished another job early and came out the same day we called. They quickly diagnosed that it was just a bad solenoid, replaced it and we were back in business in no time. Thank you!
