Brandt Heating and Air Conditioning

I initially selected Brandt based on the positive reviews - and will say that those positive reviews are very likely their norm. However it seems I was part of a series of unfortunate events mostly due to internal communication issues at Brandt. Issues ranging from charges for things that I shouldn't have been charged for, to receiving an invoice for nearly 2X the original quote, to having the install rep put in unnecessary equipment, my experience was very frustrating and I hope other people don't encounter what I experienced. I need to highlight that every single interaction with Brandt employees were been pleasant and in the end, they were very agreeable in resolving all my concerns.

Truly great service. They sent me a text with a picture of the person who would be showing up to my house and doing the service. They were on time and very knowledgeable. They worked quickly too! Absolutely recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about these folks.
It was approaching 90 degrees when our AC decided to stop working. The guy who came to repair it was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We don’t call anyone else for service and for good reason. They’re a busy place; that’s what happens when you have integrity. I only regret that the tech took off before I had a chance to say thanks.

Brent was amazing! He not only took care to not track snow and mud into our home, but he even took extra time to show me how to safely remove the components of the fireplace to clean it as well as talk to my children about safety with the fireplace. The new fan is perfect, the fireplace it is now sparkling clean and puts out excellent heat and I would definitely have Brandt and Brent come back again!

They were able to get to me the same day which was the first hot one of the year. Great! He disappeared for an hour and came back with a $350 bill. All labor, no parts. Said he cleaned it which I believe. I would have appreciated an estimate before the work was done.

We have been in Iowa City for just over a year and we wanted to install a gas fireplace insert. Brandt had done all the service for the previous owners, so we contacted them. We are pleased with every aspect of working with Brandt. All staff involved were professional, helpful and had great workmanship. There were no hidden costs. We highly recommend them.

The Brandt team has done a terrific job of installing/maintaining our furnace/AC, as well as maintaining our gas fireplace..... but they really went above and beyond for our latest project. We have a wall-mounted heating/cooling unit that requires a remote control to function properly. That remote control had been lost and we faced the option of replacing the entire unit. No universal remote would work. The Brandt team found a remote control for the unit and configured it to make the unit work properly. They really saved the day!

Technician arrived late despite a 2hr window. Then added 4lbs of freon into my system to the tune of 800$. After that checks the system and tells me I have a massive freon leak. Guess what freon leaked out that night. Feel like I was robbed.
