I had a small leak near my boiler and Josh came out to take a look. After just a quick inspection, he immediately knew that he should check the condensate pump, which ended up being the cause of our leak. He replaced the pump and was out in one hour. He also explained how boilers work, provided maintenance tips, and answered a few of my questions about my central air unit. I will recommend and use Fritch again!

Called last night and they were able to get a technician to my house the next day even though they were busy. Technician was very professional and got my ac back up and running very quickly. Cost for labor and parts was reasonable. Couldn't be happier with them. Would definitely recommend then and do business with them again. Best repair technician I've ever had.

Jason did an amazing job on our A/C yesterday. He was thorough, took his time and explained everything really well. We’ve been using Fritch for a few years now and have always been pleased with their service.

Background: We had a new furnace and AC unit installed using the Ameren Home Efficiency Program. Fritch installed the unit and all the hardware, including a new smart thermostat. The unit is just over a year old at this point - a year and three months old. Previously, our old AC unit was over 15 years old. Included with this installation was a 10 year parts warranty, but only a 1 year labor/repair warranty (this is key).

Last month, as the summer heat rose to its height in mid July, I came home from work to a house that was 85 degrees inside - the forced air system was blowing air, but it was hot air. I immediately went outside to check the condensing unit and noticed that it was not turned on. I turned the thermostat off, opened the breaker box, and noticed that the breaker for the AC unit was blown. I reset the breaker, waited for 15 minutes, turned the thermostat on, and called Fritch while I waited for the system to turn on again. The on-call technician (my call was received after working hours) told me that more than likely the problem stemmed from the storm that we had the night before - that a power flicker had caused the unit to blow the breaker to protect the electrical components. He told me that I did exactly what should have been done; and while I was on the phone with him, the unit kicked back on and started cooling again. He told me that he could come do a service call to look at everything, but that it would be charged an overtime rate and he didn’t want to cost me extra money. He told me to keep an eye on the system and get a tech to come out that following business day if something else happened. I appreciated his honesty and his willingness to save us some money, and I did as he suggested. That whole night and next day we didn’t have another problem with the unit, so I didn’t call anyone out to look at the system.

Two or three days later, we encountered the exact same problem. Twice, in one day. At that time, I contacted Fritch and told them that I wanted someone to come out and look at the unit because we had not had any storms and the unit continued to have the same problems. A tech came to my home and inspected the unit. He said that the condensing unit was very dirty and this was, more than likely, causing the problem. He cleaned the unit and showed my father in law how to take the top off the unit to clean it in the future.

Now, we are about a week past when the cleaning took place. It is 10:37am on Sunday. Last night (around 9:30 Saturday night), the AC kicked off again. Blew the breaker, forced air system blowing hot air once again. I turned off the thermostat, reset the breaker, waited for the unit to kick back on, and went to bed. THIS MORNING again, the whole situation was repeated. Muggy in the house, checked the unit, checked the breaker, reset the breaker - but before I could get to the thermostat to turn it back on, I heard something from the breaker box. I heard arcing - electricity sparking from the AC breaker. I turned the AC breaker off again, and the sound stopped. I turned the AC breaker on, and the sound started again. I immediately turned the AC breaker off and called Fritch. The technician is coming out to my house today to look into the breaker box, but warned me that this may be an electricians scope rather than HVAC.

I don’t have a problem with that answer, but I have a HUGE problem with the way this whole situation was handled. If, in the process of installing an updated unit into an older house, Fritch failed to check to ensure the electrical service to the house could support this newer unit, then we have a problem. At this point, I cannot blame Fritch solely because I don’t have all the facts concerning what may have caused this hardware issue - but it should not have taken this many calls to get a technician to actually help me narrow down the problem. The FIRST phone call should have been handled as a priority instead of the third or fourth - which could have easily resulted in a house fire. At this time, I have no further information. I will update when I have more.

We really liked both of the employees that came to work on our furnace. Both our motors went out 6 days apart and when my husband called to see if they could do anything for us they cut our labor cost even though it wasn't there fault that we had these two repairs so close together. Great company to work with.

Heat index of 110 and the A/C went out at work. Then I get home to discover my A/C had gone out at home too! At 7 PM, Fritch sent someone right away. Fair prices for after hours service and the tech explained his work. Thank you, Robert.

In December, 2018, I received a free Nest Thermostat through a promotion from Ameren. Fritch came to my home to install the new thermostat (free of charge) and it worked perfectly... until yesterday.

I woke up on March 28 to find that the thermostat was not functioning. After a lengthy chat session with Nest, it was determined that my Nest unit was defective and they would replace it, free of charge. However, I would not get the new thermostat for five to seven days. So, how was I to control my HVAC system for the next week? Nest was sorry, but that was the best they could do.

I called Fritch and almost immediate had a solution. They said they would come and install new Nest thermostat in my home and then I would simply give them the replacement thermostat when it arrived next week. The Fritch technician was at my house within 90 minutes, the new thermostat was installed and programmed and I was back in business.

I cannot say enough good things about Fritch. They were pleasant to deal with, they responded with a great solution almost immediately and my issue was resolved. I would always give them my highest recommendation.

Could not be happier with this company. I normally never call any type of repairman to my house as I always do my own maintenance. I messed with the furnace for weeks but could never quite get it right. I picked this company based on the reviews I had read. Sergio could not have been more helpful. He knew exactly what was wrong and showed me the problem and explained how that affected the furnace from working properly. He then showed me how to prevent the problem from happening again. Very pleased and will definitely recommend.

Sub zero weather and our furnace starts to go. Fritch to the rescue! I cannot say how happy we are with their quality of service! I definitely would recommend the maintenance contract too.

We have had a service plan with Fritch for 10 years now. They hunt me down when it's time for a service check when I know they could leave it to me to remember and set up. Their office staff are pleasant and friendly and I've never had a technician that wasn't very cordial and professional. Can't say a bad thing about them!
