I have had a maintenance contract with Fritch for a few years now. Yesterday I had the yearly maintenance on my A/C. Sergio came for the maintenance and he is definitely the best I have had. Very, very thorough, knowledgeable and professional. Goes out of his way to do a thorough maintenance. I will definitely ask for him from now on! Thanks Sergio!

I woke up to no heat on a freezing day. I was impressed with the person who answered my call for help and Chris B who came out with a smile and fabulous knowledge. I highly recommend this company. Thanks for the personable, professional and knowledgeable repair work.

AWFUL !, let me share my story. When I called I told them it was an old furnace, asked if they could send a person that knew about those times, game model and all info and they said they where all qualified. When the tech went there, he stared at the equipment for 3 minutes, did not take a single piece of tool out and said “ I don’t feel comfortable with this, I ll call the office”, he did not know about the brand and was pretty old, everything was original except for the valve was updated , he left and had to pay half an hour ( min) and the drive. Last time they went to another house I have they where ok, but the one before that the guy spent 1.5 hours to tell me it was cracked , I did see him work, he earned his money, no I feel totally ripped off and the way they handled my complaint. I will not call them again

Had my entire HVAC system redone (all the things), runs like a dream! Ryan was awesome! Workers were always professional, courteous, and right on time, no b.s. Project was finished in just 2 short days! Everything was smooth from beginning to end. Would highly recommend for your heating and cooling needs!

I had an excellent experience with these guys! Very responsive, super professional work, and honestly a crazy good value for the money. They offer a service plan which I highly recommend.

Edit: a year later, they're still rocking! After the second time I've used their service, there's no question in my mind that these guys are the best HVAC pros around.

This is a family-owned, Peoria company - a true, local business - who gets it, on all levels.

From Mike to Angela & Joseph with help from Andy (thorough & affable sales guy), these people deliver and do things right.

That doesn't always mean they tell you what you want to hear, but they are honest, fair & straightforward, and they are really helpful with diagnosing a problem and providing the right solution.

They back up their work. What does that mean? Well, they took over & are finishing to take care of the HVAC on our Home Reno project, about 18 mos. ago. We had to sever with an inexperienced vendor, and they jumped in to the rescue.

The project was not without many challenges, due to the complexity of the system design, an old home and its nuances and a quite particular homeowner 😉. They have been back to rework, fix, reassess and bring the work to completion.

They don't offer the lowest price for their work, but offer value, integrity and skill, along with excellent customer service.

And when there was a difference in what was charged against an unrealistic expectation on my part, they patiently waited for everything to come to right conclusion (read: supreme integrity).

After 2 home reno projects in the past 10 years, you truly get what you pay for. Go cheap, and be ready for headaches, job walkoffs and subpar work. Go right, and be ready to have the job done right.

I highly recommend this pillar of a Peoria business. They've earned it.

I found Fritch years ago when I was a newer home owner. They have always been super helpful and knowledgeable. They worked with me and helped me with my old equipment for years. This last year I purchased 2 furnaces and 2 ac units they did awesome installing and and removing all the old. Would highly recommend.

Called Fritsch to get something scheduled and get basic info on fees. Secretary said they were on "overtime", where "overtime" actually means "we just charge people more who want service sooner". I wait for the "regular" rate. Fees: (call out, basic cost for refrigerant, hourly fee - typical stuff) - like pulling teeth. "What happens if the tech does not have the equipment to do the job... are they going to run to a supply house and charge me $125 an hour while they do an errand that a $10/hour assistant could do? Her answer... "Uhhhhh, I dunno. I'm not a tech. Maybe. I'm not sure. Yes, I guess."

Tech shows up. I explain to Derrin there is NO GAS in the A/C system because it leaked out (very common situation), and I want the system leak tested, and filled with R-22.

He gets to work, but every time I turn around to do something else, it's like he's doing nothing at all. So I watch him & he tries the Run-The-Clock-for-$125/hr blabber game. Eventually finds a leak on the condenser coil. "Oh, this is an aluminum coil, and that's kinda rare, so I'm not sure if I can fix this b/c in a 'tough place to get to.'" Aluminum coils have been very common for over 10 years, and this system is TWENTY years old, so how does a good A/C tech not know how to braze an aluminum coil leak. (?) Not only that, but he doesn't even have the -very basic- tools (propane torch, solder, and a jar of flux) with him because "those are specialized" (hint: they aren't... you can get them off of Amazon, easily: Alloy Sol).

Great.

Do you evacuate/vacuum the system before refilling? "Oh yeah". And about how long does that take? "Oh, maybe 45 minutes". I do all the A/C work on my vehicles, so I'm familiar with how to work on A/C systems. I took a 4 month long college class on metalworking, including advanced brazing techniques on various metals. It should take about 1 hour 15 minutes to vacuum --the dumb/lazy/poor way--, but only about 5 to 10 minutes if done --the right way-- which means taking out the cores from the valves. So I ask Derrin if he could just take out the valve cores and do it the fact and CORRECT way. "Oh, yeah, I do know about that. Yeah, that is a lot better and faster."

Ohhhh, boy.

Derrin explicitly says he will get Tony or Joseph to come out tomorrow morning to fix it.

So, next day I wait. No call - no show.

I call Fritsch and they tell me "Oh, you're getting a NEW SYSTEM". Really now?!? "Oh, yes. Your system cannot be repaired." No s**t? Because a tech was supposed to fix it this morning, and now it's 12:30. "Oh, well... Do you want to talk to sales about it?" So I talk to Mary, and she is giving me the full-on Hard-Sell approach. Mary: "Oh, so you need a new system. Let me give you a quote." No, I don't want a new system. The system is fine. It needs a simple repair. You ask me to buy a new car because the tire got a hole in it. "Oh, no, no! The tech said it couldn't be repaired." Nope, he said it couldn't do it, but that someone else would. "Oh, so you want to go ahead with a new system? We can't get anyone out to repair right now because we're on 'overtime' " Really? So if I want a new system, you can't have anyone put it in? "Oh, no, we can have someone out there for that." So what about this no-show this A.M.? "Oh, well, the techs decided they COULD NOT do it... So, do you want to replace the whole system?!?" No, I do not. Can you please just send a tech out to fix the system. "Well, I don't think we have time, but I'll see if I can. I'll get someone out there."

No call. No show.

Derrin texts me, then calls, "Oh, heya, so I'm reaaaal sorry about that whole mix up. It can't be fixed". Oh? I looked on youtube, and it's a really simple repair. "Yeah, it is pretty easy. Yeah". So, what is the problem? First it can be repaired easily, but now it cannot....? "Oh, uhhhhhhhh, well, uhhhhhh, we ACTUALLY decided that since it would cost some money to do it that you'd be unhappy, so it'd be better if we just replace the whole system. Also if we fixed it, it might not work. We just DECIDED FOR YOU.

Garbage.

Heat went out at 2 am. We called Fritch's at 5am, and got their answering service which is standard practice in the heating and cooling industry. The lady answered very promptly, was very nice and precise in her questions and said we should hear from someone in a few minutes. We got a call from a technician not more than 5 minutes later and he said he would be there as soon as he could access the shop to see what our furnace type was and get parts. He was here in just over an hours time. We were still in our jammies lol. He fixed it in just a little over an hour and a half and we had heat again. We think Frich's is the highest in quality service. Even when we have them come to do our clean and check yearly, the techs are always pleasant to have in my home. Thank you Frich Heating & Cooling, Great company!
