Gulf Coast Heating & AC

Gulf Coast Heating & A/C made a big, intimidating problem turn into a manageable and understandable job. They replaced our entire 30+ year old AC, heat system with a new unit. There were no high pressure sales tactics and they explained our options patiently and repeatedly so we could make the correct choices for our home and budget.
Our system failed right before a weekend and they installed our new equipment on a Saturday. The owner, Todd, the finance guy, Randy, and each of the gentlemen who worked at our house were polite, professional, knowledgeable and neat. We could not be more pleased with the process and the outcome.

These guys are the best! Gabe and Andy did an awesome job installing our new Tempstar unit in one day. Todd came out and gave us a very fair estimate and lo and behold the guys showed up as scheduled and delivered the work promised for the same amount as the estimate. These guys are really pro's and they have a ton of experience. They are all about providing quality service and I totally appreciate that!

Our AC decided to kick the bucket just as the heat index was hitting the high 90's - 100!
Randy came out, checked what needed to be done, had an estimate that evening - We are now
Cool & Comfortable. The unit is super Efficient - set at 77 degrees - it is somewhat chilly!
( first time I am looking forward to seeing my electric bill)

Gulf Coast was able to come repair our Nest and AC system on a very short notice. Gabrielle arrived within an hour and did a full tune-up of the system. He gave us helpful tips to avoid issues in the future. Highly recommend them.

My 18 year old AC system was starting to fail. I've never had to replace my entire AC & Heating system before so I wasn't too sure how to go about the process.

I Googled "ac companies near me" and read some of the reviews. After reading the great reviews for Gulf Coast Heating & AC, I contacted Randy who came out the next day. They provided me with an estimate for several different units, from which I chose the 3.5 Ton TempStar unit.

The estimate was close to what I expected to pay, so I decided to have them do the job. The crew from Gulf Coast Heating & AC was out early the next day and performed a seamless installation. They were neat, picked up after themselves, and left me with a brand new AC system in only one day.

I would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

Always a pleasure to deal with the folks from Gulf Coast Heating and AC Repair. I winter in Florida and I always call at the last minute for my yearly maintenance. They are always pleasant and schedule me in right away.

I would describe Gulf Coast Heating and Air as thorough, conscientious, educated, polite, professional and hard working. We obtained multiple quotes from multiple AC companies and GCHAA was in a category all their own. I would highly recommend choosing them to repair or install your AC. Each of their employees that I interacted with went above and beyond to make us happy.

Incompetent or rip-offs, you decide. Called Gulf Coast for service and the response time was great. I had a leak... I knew I had a leak, that's why I called. The tech looked at the date tag and based on that said it needed replacement. He added 1 pound of Freon and told me how it would cost hundreds of dollars alone to find the leak. You need a new unit... that's 5 grand he said. So basically I was charged $117 and told your screwed without any attempt to locate or fix the problem.

Ray from Acme Air came by yesterday... "Before you spend the money on a replacement let's check it out". He easily found the leak on top of a copper tube right on top of the riser tube easy to find and fix. Ray brazed the leak, cleaned and serviced the coils and unit, charged it up and watched to see all the pressures were steady and correct.

It's cold in my house this morning... A/C cranking better than new. So unless you want to be ripped off and charged $117 to be told "You're screwed" and given an replacement estimate 20% ($1000) higher than the estimate from Acme for a replacement... I'd call someone other than Gulf Coast who actually does the job.

This company knows how to treat customers. They were in contact with me from the time I called for service to the end. Everyone knew what they were doing & treated me with respect. They did a great job & kept me informed about what they were doing. I would not hesitate to call them again.
