Within 10m of finding the website and asking for help with Roy via online chat, they had someone out to my house within an hour or two. Bob, the technician, quickly found I a bad capacitor, low freon, and my voltage controller was arcing. Fixed it all quickly, and he was so much fun to talk to while he was working.

Guys, use Gary Munson for you AC needs. They were very reasonably priced.

Short version: Munson was quick to come out, charged me over $300 bucks, fixed my A/C for a few days, and then didn't return my call after it went out again later in the week. The issue was resolved by another service company and the Munson tech had missed the problem.

Long version:
A/C went out Sunday afternoon--outside unit fan would not start up. I got to googling and Munson had the best reviews on Google. Called the next day to set something up and the woman who answered was pretty short with me on the phone. Was very quick to discuss costs -- $75 service call & first 15 minutes, $85/hour after that. Would not do an appointment, just said 12-4p that day. Which is pretty good if you need work that day, but if no one is home during the day it's hard to rearrange work, etc on short notice. I asked for 30 minutes heads up so I could get home from work.
Did not get the 30 min heads up because the technician was actually nearby my house. So the tech was at my house for 30 minutes before I got there, and he did have the unit open when I arrived so I guess he had done some evaluation. However, I can't help but feel as though I got charged for 30 minutes that the tech couldn't do much since he couldn't get inside the house to turn on the A/C.
I got home, technician said he didn't identify anything that was faulty outside. We went inside, turned on the system, he didn't see anything with the inside air handler either. Going back outside, he checked pressure and said it was a little high. So he washed out the coils and then added refrigerant. This brought the pressures down to a more reasonable level and we called the problem solved. I was pleased to hear the tech thought the unit was in good shape overall, especially considering the age.
Paid $330 for the service. Half of that was the refrigerant, then an hour of labor, and then the service call. Obviously I wasn't thrilled but I figured if it was fixed, then it was worth it. I learned some things in the process and certainly wouldn't be able to add refrigerant myself by law. The tech was a nice guy and honest from what I can tell.
The reason my review is two stars is because when the A/C went out again 3 days later, I called Munson again in the evening and left a message. I wasn't looking for emergency service, rather I asked for them to call me back in the morning to get a tech back out. I never received a call back. Ultimately, I was referred by my coworkers to another repair company. I won't disclose the name of the other company in order to prevent any thought that this is a "paid" review. The other technician came out, evaluated the system again, and this time identified that the fan motor was worn out. This was done by a relatively simple test of seeing how freely it spun with the system off--counting the revolutions. The Munson technician mentioned nothing about the motor.
Overall, the woman on the phone was short but I figure she is busy this time of year. The tech was a nice guy, but didn't provide the notice I asked for and missed a worn out component. What frustrated me the most however, was the company not returning my call after I needed additional service. So while I don't feel like I was ripped off, I won't be calling Gary Munson in the future.

The consultation was timely. The installers did a great job and they were very kind.
They worked hard. The air conditioner comes on and off so smoothly and feels great! It has already lowered our bill. We are so thankful!

We went for almost two weeks without AC based on the estimates and opinions of other companies. Finally, expecting a $2,000 replacement on a compressor we found Gary Munson Heating and AC. Alex came out and was both honest and professional. Seriously, that means a a lot! Turns out it wasn't the compressor at all and the repair to get us up and running wasn't even 10% of the original few quotes we got. I was both in shock and relieved. In a world where everyone is out to get everyone and take them to the bank, this speaks volumes of integrity and commitment. We will be recommending Gary Munson and his family to everyone. Seriously, customers for life!

Eureka! I have finally found an honest and competent AC Company in Orlando. The service men, Mr. Smith, checked my system and informed me that there was nothing wrong with it. He performed some adjustments and everything is working great.

My unit and air handler was installed about a year ago by Rainaldi Company. They are the most unscrupulous and dishonest people on earth. Multiple service men performed timely and expensive tests on my unit and after I was informed I had a leak. I was then told more expenses were to come.

After getting a second opinion by Gary Munson Heating & Air, I was told there was no leak and only minor changes needed to be made.

The honesty is appreciated and I highly recommend Gary Munson Heating & Air.

Gary was VERY efficient, honest and helpful. He even gave me tips on how to avoid this in the future (clogged AC drainage line)...which is really great customer service. I was told up front upon requesting an appointment of the total costs, so there were no surprises. I liked that. Definitely recommend him.

Our old A/C got hit by lighting. Gary Munson company instslled a new unit in less than half a day. Fast, knowledgeable, and in a professional manner. 4 years later another storm did the damage. Placed a call at 8 pm the day A/C stopped working The technician showed up the next morning, fixed the problem in less than an hour. The office stuff is very responsive. Couldn't wish for a better service. Thank you!

These guys just finished installing ductless AC units in our home and we are so happy we went with them over the traditional units. The crew was awesome, super professional and the units work great; I love the fact that we can each keep our rooms at a temperature that is comfortable to us! I will be using these guys in the future and would recommend them to family and friends.
