I previously paid annually for a home warranty. I made claims on the policy infrequently, for minor service needs, and with varying degrees of satisfaction.
My air conditioning system, nearly 15 years old, stopped working on a Sunday. The temperature in my living room rose to 88 degrees, and didn’t change much after that. I called my home warranty company on Monday morning. The earliest they would send someone to help was late on Wednesday. They said it would have to be 105 degrees outside before they could authorize anyone to come sooner. So I waited. The service person arrived when promised. Then I was told that there would be another wait of two to three days for a needed part. I (and my pets) couldn’t stand the heat anymore. So I began my online search for someone who could really help me.
I made several calls, but all I was offered were appointments days out. I finally came across the E.C. Waters website. I was immediately impressed by the quality of their website. I read their reviews. I saw photos and profiles of the people who work there. I felt that these people operated as a “family”, and they really cared. So I called.
I was soon speaking to Jason, who listened and seemed to understand my situation, as well as my frustration. I had come to the decision that it was time to replace my AC system. He made an appointment to come to my my home. He arrived on time, and proceeded to thoroughly explain my options. Everything presented was very clearly and in writing. There was no upselling at any time. And he answered the questions I had. He even provided brochures of the system components I ultimately decided on.
Then came the question I had to ask. Can you install everything tomorrow? After he made a few phone calls, he had the equipment and the installers lined up. They were at my home the next morning, as promised and on time.
The installers did their job efficiently and in good time. Jason even visited while they were here to make sure all was going well. It was, and I was soon up and running.
I made a comment that the air vent in my living room was now rattling, because the air flow into the room was more powerful with the new system. Jason was soon back, with a new, more substantial, air vent which he installed at no additional charge. Very nice.
I received a follow up phone call from Jason a few days later to make sure all was well with the new system. I also received a box of delicious brownies in the mail a bit later, just as another thank you for my business. Neat.
A few months later, on a Sunday morning, I woke to find my new AC system totally shut down. I called the company’s main number, and left a message. Then, feeling a little desperate, I decided to send Jason a text message just to see if he might be able to assist. He returned my text promptly, and then communicated with the on-call service person. That person arrived just a short time after that, and cleared the clogged AC drain line. I was sure I’d be charged for a service call on a Sunday morning, for something that really wasn’t part of the equipment I purchased. But there was no charge. Wow.
As you can tell, E.C. Waters really blew me away with their above and beyond customer service. And I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone needing any type of AC work.

Not all A/C companies are the same, however I found this company to be courteous, on time, and resourceful!
They gave us a quote, it was a fair price, and it was repaired. We liked them so much we signed a service contract with them to service and maintain our system all year long, as I never want to be without my air for one minute in this Florida heat!

We had a pleasant experience 2 years ago when this company installed our air conditioning unit. They made a few unsightly installation mistakes inside our home, but we overlooked them because of the customer service at the time. However 2 years later we've became aware of other installation blunders. The wiring from the external condensing unit to the house was never encased in conduit piping, nor was it run in the back of the unit, along the side of house, but instead in front and through the grass where it was inevitably at the mercy of a lawnmower. When we called for service of this issue the technician was full of excuses and insisted on charging us for the repair despite the fact that it was their doing in the first place. After much debate with the owner of this company, and photo/video proof of their faulty installation, the repair costs we were eventually refunded our money. Now two weeks after this wiring incident our a/c unit refuses to cool our home properly. Upon calling for further service from E.C. Waters we've been refused. I wouldn't not recommend using this company; they are unwilling to remedy the damage done by their poor service and installation.

I had a terrible experience with this company. I scheduled an after hours(meaning it costs more) visit for Saturday June 15th because my AC was not blowing as cold as it should. The tech came out said “I probably have a small leak”, refilled my system with Freon, charged me 269 dollars and left. He made no attempt to find the small leak and said it shouldn’t be a problem…
Two days later, Monday 6/15/19 my AC started doing the same thing so I call the company back, the same tech answered the call bc he was on call. He told me to call the office in the morning.
I call Tuesday morning and the office makes me wait till Thursday for the tech to come out and actually find the leak.
Thursday rolls around and so does the same exact tech, he starts doing his leak detection with a leak detection tool. He doesn’t open up my outside condensing unit, he just dangles the detector inside the unit and when it goes off he assumes my coil has a leak. He doesn’t ever open it up and confirm where the leak is. He then tells me he has to order the part bc its under warranty and I should be up and running the following Monday or Tuesday (6/24 or 6/25).
The part ended up taking 12 days to arrive. I cant blame E.C Waters for this, it’s the manufacturer that made shipping take so long. But during this time I was told countless times by the customer service rep, that she would call me back with shipping information and when it would arrive. I called everyday asking for an update and she would always say she was gonna call me right back. She didn’t call me back until Friday 6/28 with news that the part would be in Monday 7/1 or Tuesday 7/2.
Here’s where it gets good. 7/3 is the day they finally say they can install my new coil. The same tech arrives and starts taking apart my condensing unit(the first time he actually took the time to do it) and he realized that the coil isn’t bad! There was a tiny pipe that had a hole and he welded it in 10 minutes. Something he could have done the FIRST day I called him on June 15th!!!!
It gets even better, his boss rolls up with the coil as the tech just realized his error. He tells his boss the news. The boss goes welp guess we saved you some money, no sincere apologies, or asking me how they can make it right. At this point I have had no ac for a little over 2 weeks.
It gets even more better, both the tech and the boss realize that the coil he brought was the wrong one anyway. The boss stopped at the wrong distributor and got a part for a different customer. So if I needed the coil, who knows how long they would have made me wait.
The tech patches the leak and fills it up with Freon and says im good to go, even though the split between air coming in and air going out was not correct. He leaves anyway.
I waited an hour to see if the house would cool down and constantly check the outcoming air. The air was still not blowing right. So I call the office and speak to a manger and demand a new tech come out the same day.
A new tech comes out inspects the system for an hour or so and then tells me a valve when bad bc the AC was off for so long. And since they are closed on 7/4 he can probably get me running on 7/5 because he needs a part.
He ended up coming on Monday 7/8 to fix the part that went bad…. I cant exaggerate the lack of urgency or attention to detail this company has for its customers. Just completely avoid them if you need something repaired.

I couldn’t be more satisfied with the whole process working with E.C. Waters. From initial evaluation and diagnostics of my 20+ year old Trane unit, to the timeliness and professional installation of my new HVAC system (but of course another Trane!).. I wouldn’t hesitate for even a minute in choosing this company again. Jason took the time to inspect the entire A/C system inside and outside the home, educate, and provide honest assessment of what unit would best suit my needs. His knowledge base and professionalism was unmatched compared to all previous experiences I’ve had with other technicians. The entire setup was completed in one day, and there was no trace of the job afterwords except for a professionally installed new HVAC system. His technicians took the time to review the setup with me, answer questions, and pair it with my Nest thermostat. During full inspection of the installation it was very clear that no corner was cut. Jason also followed up soon thereafter to make sure I was completely satisfied with the project. This company is well aware of what it takes to earn a customer for life, and they did just that.
