Add this company to your favorites! We bought a house in 2020. We have been fighting with the home warranty company for over 2 years because the HVAC units constantly ran, but did not cool the house. I finally gave up and paid to have the units replaced. Clint from this company cane in and immediately said the units were under sized and should not have passed the original inspection, let alone our inspection. Great job replacing the units for more efficient and quieter units! Fast forward to three weeks after install. The heater kicks on and shortly after there is a haze in the house. I contacted Clint directly and he came out. The upstairs unit blew off the freon connector; the haze was freon. He could not fix it, but rather than making me wait weeks, he is on his way back to the shop to het the part from a brand new unit. He said he has never seen this happen on a new unit before. I am grateful for the immediate response and resolution. Especially since our FL weather turned from summer to winter overnight! Highly recommend this company and Clint!!

Have used this company several times and they never disappoint. Always prompt, professional and on time, their fees are very fair. I wouldn’t use anyone else since I was introduced to this company. I own numerous rental properties so I have used many contractors over the last 25 years so I know a good contractor when I find one.
I am going to try to quickly describe how much i appreciate the Darnell crew. I came home from the hospital and my house was 92 degrees. I am an 84 year old woman living at home and do not have anywhere to go. Called the office at 8:30am and they had a technician at my house and the ac working by 10am (less than 2 hours response time). The work is professional, the price is reasonable, and they really seem to care you are uncomfortable.
Darnell Air Conditioning & Heating is great! We have used them on our properties several times and have referred them to friends and customers- all very happy! They diagnose and give options where they can, they have never just tried to sell me new equipment/systems unless that is the only option. Great service and great value in my opinion.
Brian arrived at my home Monday morning after my call on Saturday evening. He checked my A/C system and immediately realized it needed refrigerant. He added 3 lbs. and, most importantly, he educated me on how to maintain my 11 yr. old system as a home owner! No one has ever offered this to me. Although, I have an 11 yr. old system, he NEVER once attempted to pressure me into purchasing a new unit, but he DID tell me that it was a "band-aid" for the unit. Instead, he supplied me with information as to how the electric company assists homeowners in purchasing new units. He taught me how to clean my lines to keep the unit working. I am soooo pleased with this company, and I'm so blessed to have found this awesome family owned company!!! I placed their sticker on my unit. This is the fabulous company whom I will call when I (in the near future) will need a new unit ( because they're honest). Thank you, Brian!!!
Called to have my AC tuned up and JD came out the very next morning. He was so kind and went out of his way to educate my daughter (and me!) on how our system works and what we can do to keep it running well. We didn't get the typical sales pitch for a million costly "upgrades," either. In fact, JD was clear that what we have already is perfect and he left concise directions on how to extend that. I love the efficiency but also the honesty! They earned a customer for life!
I called them for a service of my a/c unit because it was acting up and a new filter. He showed up without the filter and said I can go to the office and get it later when someone is in the office and I should always call first to make sure something new is there to get my filter. He came inside my house went to the unit and turned it on and said he saw a spark in my electrical box and that wasnt good. He went back to the unit and looked at it and tested the watage of the wires and said everything was running correctly. Then he came to my electrical box and took it off the wall and pulled my breaker out and said that was the problem and I had to hire someone else to fix it because he is not a electrician and can not fix anything electrical. Then he proceeded to tell me that he could not service it because of the electrical problem and to call him when it is fixed and then he can service the unit. I called them a couple hours later and got the electrical taken care of for him to come service the unit. When I spoke to them they want me to pay 84.99 for the first service because he found a problem and for him to come out and actually service the unit I would have to pay another 84.99. Come to find out he is not suppose to open the electrical panel and remove breakers without a license. So instead of servicing the unit he looked for a problem to find another to double charge me. I would not recommend anyone use this ervoce due to the lack of communication and the showing up for one job and doing others to make more money. When I brought up my concerns to the person in the office, they seemed offended that I was upset that I was double paying for a service and told me that (that's what it is) so I refused the second service and said I would hire someone else.
Darnell air conditioning is defiantly the best in Clay County. My wife has stage 3 cancer and can not get hot, my AC stopped working in the middle of the night I left a massage at 5:30 in the morning they called me at 8:00 and had a technician at my house at 9:30. They are great highly recommend them for all your AC and heating needs.
