Used Mike Merritt for maintenance of 3 systems and install of 2 now since we have owned our condo and we have had great service. We usually get to be first up in the scheduling, even with an emergency repair and always great service...friendly, knowledgeable and Mike the owner is the one that has usually been doing the initial repair and maintenance and the son has been brought on to do work too so it's a nice family business. Nice competitive pricing and they recognize a repeat customer. Can't complain about anything!

Mike showed up on time. Was very responsive and very knowledgeable. Great customer service. Mike diagnose the problem and fixed it very quickly and what he charged was very reasonable, actually much lower than I thought it would be. I highly recommend Mike Merritt, heating and air to anybody who has an air-conditioning or heater issue.

After 5 previous estimates for installing a new heat pump system I called Mike on Friday morning to schedule an appointment for an estimate. He returned my call immediately and we scheduled for Saturday morning. He gave us an honest and detailed quote for what we needed to upgrade our entire system. His quote was far better than any we previously received. We called him within 15 minutes of him leaving our house to schedule an install. He called back and scheduled for Monday morning. I was so surprised. He and his team showed up Monday morning and were done by noon. The job was professional and fast.

My A/C went down late on a Saturday night. The next Sunday morning I called Merritt A/C company and by 4 PM he was at my house on a Sunday. He and his son spent 2 hours tracking down the problem and fixed it. They went over and above my expectations by arriving on a Sunday night. The were professional and thorough.

We ordered our Carrier HVAC from his company and in 3 days they did the install (our old unit was still working). Top notch people working for a top notch heat and air contractor. I called their office line on a Sunday afternoon, and a live person answered. She said she would call their on-call tech, Danny. Danny arrived quickly, and diagnosed and repaired my air handler, replaced my thermostat, and tested the whole system in a timely and professional manner. You can’t ask for more than that.

This company is the best AC company in the Jacksonville metro area. Mike himself has come to my house and creatively solved every AC issues I’ve had. They are reasonably priced and on the last visit, the AC was fixed before before I came out to greet him! So, why don’t you use the best technicians at MERRITT HEATING AND AIR. In my sincere estimation, other companies are sub standard. Thanks Mr. MERRITT for your outstanding customer service and technical expertise.

These guys are AWESOME! AC went out this morning before a HOLIDAY weekend and they were able to come out and fix it within 3 hours of our call. They replaced a bad capacitor in less than 20 minutes! Highly recommend! Very professional and rapid response!
