Technician was pleasant new to the job recently certified but seemed to have a wealth of knowledge about the business. However the prices are unreasonable for what I wanted. and they weren’t honest about Univresal Air. They told me they were the same when actually they bought universal air conditioning out. They could have told me that because I asked. When a company is not transparent leave them alone.
I have encountered several issues with the company's services. It seems that their technicians operate on a commission-only basis, which may lead to a focus on upselling. Additionally, I've experienced situations where a higher initial price was quoted, only for the technician to make a call to the manager and lower the price, creating a perception of a special deal. The company has also been inconsistent with appointment scheduling, often failing to show up despite multiple calls to confirm. There are reports of employee payment delays, with backlogs spanning several months. Furthermore, I've observed instances where the company has not honored maintenance contracts after acquiring other air conditioning companies. In cases where the company is at fault for damages, they have been uncooperative and reluctant to rectify the situation. Lastly, I would advise caution when considering purchasing Aerosealor, or Duct work, as most technicians seem to lack adequate knowledge and training in duct work. It is important for the company to address these issues to improve customer satisfaction and uphold their reputation.
Air Pros is the worst, most unreliable AC company we have dealt with in the 20 years we have owned our home. We inherited Air Pro from when Solar Bear went out of business, and in 2020 Air Pro induced us to buy a whole new system to replace a 6 year old unit for $15,000 because they claimed the ducts had mold. Since it’s installation we’ve had nothing but problems, breakdowns, freezing up and most recently serious leaking. The most egregious breakdown and service failure occurred March 2022 on the day of an important family event, when the AC died and we had the entire family sweltering in over 90 degree heat while trying to get ready and they failed to send anyone to repair the system until the following day, when I had our whole family over for a post event brunch. We’ve had to have the unit repaired 3 times since March 2023. 3 weeks ago, the unit froze up. The tech incorrectly concluded that the cause was the filter we were using was too thick, and told us we needed to use a thinner filter. He did not have a filter on his truck but assured us we could get any thinner filter anywhere, at Publix, Walgreens, or Home Depot. We followed the tech’s instructions and purchased the best thinner filter we could find. Three weeks later, this past Monday, we heard water pouring out of the bottom of the unit. We also discovered that the unit had sucked up the lighter filter the tech told us to buy. We had travel plans early the following morning, and Air Pro promised to have an emergency crew at our house to fix the problem by early evening. After multiple follow up calls when no one showed or called to say they weren’t coming, they finally told us they couldn’t get anyone to the house due to the severe weather and late hour but promised to have someone for the first appointment on our return Friday morning. We called the day before to confirm and were assured that we would be the first appointment and that the tech would be at our house between 9 and 10 am. The following morning, no one showed - after multiple calls pleading for someone to come, they said the tech was delayed because of a personal issue, which was a lie, because when the tech finally showed at 2 pm, he said he had just come from another job. He then told us that the leak was due to dirty coils and that it would cost nearly $1,600 for the repair. The coils were clean when the system was checked in September 2022 for yet another repair, and we hadn’t had any problems with leaking or dirty coils until after the tech told us to change to a different type of filter. The misinformation and incorrect direction from Air Pro’s tech caused the condition that required the repair, and now Air Pro was trying to charge us nearly $1,600 to correct the condition they caused! We finally had a manager get on the phone with us who tried to blame us for using the filter their tech directed us to buy, and told us that we’re supposed to have the coils cleaned once a year, despite our having had a service and maintenance contract with Air Pros during which they never once instructed us that yearly coil cleaning was required. I could live with paying a reasonable charge to clean the coils, but the estimate also included a $750 unnecessary repair item that the manager could not explain. I rejected their proposed repair and grossly inflated estimate, and called another AC company that reliably came out the following day when they said they would, and corrected the problem for only $420. The new AC company did a thorough inspection of the system and also discovered other deficiencies in Air Pro’s installation, including the incorrectly installed Plenum, and refrigerant filter dryer on the compressor that was installed upside-down. It’s been a parade of horribles with Air Pro since we purchased the unit. The unit is a lemon, and in our experience Air Pro misrepresents the facts to induce you to buy their products, and then provides terrible, incompetent and unreliable service at grossly inflated prices. Beware.
NO STARS!!!!The service for the AC maintenance is horrible this company is a rip-off they charge $119. For a person to come out and simply take pictures of the unit. No labor at all. Customer service says one thing and charge something completely different... completely dissatisfied with this company.
Oh what a crazy 24hrs !!!! A big thank you to the team of Air Pros who literally cooled down a heated situation. The service was professional from the min the rep answered the phone and continued with Nerly the tech who came to the house and his supervisor Kenny. Service was prompt he showed up approx 45mins or less after my call. The price was ok I'm not an expert in that field but I do know dealing with trade workers you gotta look out for shady tactics. I felt the service, communication and price was fair and straightforward with Air Pros. No beating around the bush and I like that. I highly recommend Air Pros for all your AC needs.
I set up my appointment and they showed up 3 days late, each day they would give a different as to why they didn’t show up and when they did They tried to charge me 4,300k to replace the coil. Which I ended up getting it replaced for only $650. NEVER AGAIN.
This last maintenance connection was terrific!! Zoltan Ember was right on time. He didn't waste any time; answered all my questions and offered some tips and insights to make my A/C run even better. He was polite and obviously competent. I'm delighted!!
This company goes above and beyond to assure their customers that their AC will be fixed. They are HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE!! NO rip offs with this company. I highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs. Air Pros is a top notch company. The best is south Florida!
I am being charged a service fee for a technician to come take picture of my unit then sit in his car for an hour to come back and tell me the service would cost twice as much as the quote received from another company. Literally would cost me over $500.00 to have them acid wash my coils vs another company. So basically $100 to tell me they are overpriced. Never even touched my ac..Still in shock!
Air Pros came out on a holiday weekend and fixed our A/C when no other company would! Raul provided excellent service and was a wonderful person. Something you don’t see very much of these days!
