Mid FL Air was recommended by Dr. S at UCF when we were inspecting our new hm purchase in 1997, in Geneva, FL.
In 2009, Mid FL Air came out to inspect our sys & their tech filled it with freon & at that time, he gave us an estimate on a new sys for our 3200 sq ft hm. The estimate was $5500.
Less than a yr later, the sys went. Mid FL Air no longer had the sz sys quoted earlier.
However, they honored the quote & we got our sys installed in an afternoon.
I chose this company based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. Al is amazing at his job. He diagnosed the cause of the issue within seconds, fixed it, then he went above and beyond to make sure it won’t happen again — he even encountered an issue with my AC that he said he’d only seen once or twice before, but he figured out a way to correct it.
Minutes after he left, I sent Mid-Florida AC’s info to some friends, who’d also recently purchased homes, for when they need their units worked on too.
My AC stopped working overnight over the weekend. I placed an after hours emergency call the next morning and was promptly called back by Matt S. Matt was very knowledgeable and explained everything with me during the diagnosis. He was truly my family’s lifesaver in this July heat. Highly recommend Mid Florida AC. If Mid Florida AC is reading this, Matt S. was professional, knowledgeable and honest. He represents Mid Florida AC with pride.
88 degrees in my house!! Oh no!! When my son arrived home from school this afternoon, he walked in and felt the heat! The thermostat was on 88 and it was hot and miserable in the house! —>I called Ashley at Mid Florida and she was AWESOME!! She squeezed me in and told me that a technician would be coming within the HOUR! Yay!! —>The technician (Jordan) call me when he was about 15 minutes from my house, introduced himself and got right to work!! He was super polite, professional and got things fixed quickly!! —>Jordan explained the service performed (changed out a capacitor and added Freon) and gave me future recommendations. —>This is the 3rd time I’ve used Mid-Florida-looks like they’re stuck with me! Well done guys!! 5 stars!! Highly recommend!!
Edited 5/6/2021: I am editing my original review as the issue has been resolved. I recognize that the issues we have experienced may have stemmed from errors in installation when our home was built. I am giving this company 4 stars solely because of the professionalism and positive attitude of their technicians. Specifically a young man named Jordan. He has worked with us on all our issues, has been patient with us being cranky about not having a/c for yet another week this summer to replace copper piping for a second time. Jordan walked us through very step, answered all our questions, and has come back to look things over after hours without complaint. This company needs to give this man a raise! I am still slightly disappointed that we have experienced so many issues with our a/c since our house is so new, but as I mentioned previously I recognize this might be a construction and install issue. The owner/manager Justin responded to my original post and I responded to him via email. He responded with just a few sentences, but we have not heard from him since. I would have thought he would have checked in a few times or called my husband personally to check on us. It is a very good thing he has such stellar folks working for him who really know what customer service is about. if you opt to use this company, would recommend you request Jordan if you are able to. He is awesome.
Original review 4/29/2021: This company installed our unit when our home was built and it was done incorrectly and less than 4 years after it was built we had to have all the copper replaced because whomever installed it did it incorrectly and moisture got in. They had to cut holes in the dry wall around the unit in the garage and did a shoddy job of repairing it. Now its acting up again. This will be the third time our air has gone out since our home was built in 2017. DO NOT HIRE THEM.

Been using Mid-Florida for 17 years. They are the best. And Al Taylor cares. Thanks again Al !
After leaving a message, we received a call first thing the next day. We have the extended service and are thankful for it! Al came out and was friendly, responsive, and helpful. He fixed the problem with an outdoor wire that had been cut and took a look at our 2nd inside unit, as well, because it was making noises. Repaired the outside wire, and offered solutions about the upstairs unit, with a smile. He also took his shoes off before going upstairs, which I didn't ask him to do, and often service folks don't even offer, but I appreciate. We have worked with them for over a year and are pleased. Highly recommend.
We had the unpleasant surprise of no A/C after coming home from church. Heat index out doors was 108. Contacted Mid-Florida A/C. Within an hour Tech. Al Taylor was in our drive. Friendly and personable, he clearly explained the issue and diagnosis. In less that an hour Al had the issue resolved! And now our Sunday is getting cooler.

Thank you AL for coming out and checking our system on a Sunday no less. Our smoke detectors went off at 4:30 am, we called the fire department as we had visable smoke. They said no fire thankfully, however we should have our heater checked, so needing heat tonight we Called Mid Fl A/C who we have used since 2005. AL came out and found the issue right away, our heat strip coils were dirty causing the smoke and smell as they burned off, so he cleaned them good and checked everything. He assured us all is good and safe. Tonight we will be safe and comfortable. Thanks Al, we wouldn't rely on anyone else but Mid Fla A/C
Mid Florida installed a new A/C unit for me 19 months ago and this morning we woke up at 6 AM to a warm humid house. I called them and left a message. When I hadn't heard from them by 8:30, I called the office to check if they had gotten my message and they said they had a technician getting parts and would send him right over. Al Taylor, their technician got here at 8:50, fixed the problem in 10 minutes and due to it being an equipment issue, the part was covered under the original installation and I wasn't charged for the labor. Al was an awesome guy, friendly, professional and could tell just by hearing the unit run what was wrong. He also didn't like a vibration noise he heard where the grill cover over the fan on the outside cabinet was making contact with the cabinet . He went to his truck and came back with some rubber insulation and stopped the rattling noise! We had cold air flowing right away. I highly recommend this company and Al without any reservations!
