    I had them out to do repairs on my AC unit. I liked them and signed up for a yearly maintenance contract, which has gone well. My AC unit finally gave up the ghost. They replaced it. The work was done professionally. My only gripe is it cost a lot more than the last time I had the AC replaced.

    John Howell, of Gold Star, made our house call, 4/21/23, to check the efficiency of our air conditioner for the upcoming summer season. He checked the air handler in the attic. He noticed insulation laying on the air handler and removed it. John checked the accuracy of the degrees, and it met all specifications. John went outside and checked the compressor, and everything met specifications. In addition, he was very informative with explaining all that he was doing. We're requesting that John Howell continue being our agent at Gold Star going forward.

    Had a water issue in my basement over night. I called at 630 am for an emergency service since I have no heat. While cleaning up, they called back within an hour and let me know they would be there as soon as they could but my time window was 8-12. Rick got here about 1130 and he was great. He went right down to the unit and looked over everyhthing. He saw the wet switch was tripped and explained that the switch shuts everything down so more damage does not occur if water gets into the unit and sprays around. He checked over the whole unit, wiped up the tray of any remaining moisture, and reset the unit. Waited until the start up process was finished and said everything checks out and we were lucky that nothing was damaged.he was very professional and courteous.
