We hired Climate Care to install a new HVAC system to a apartment attached to our house. The installation was done improperly and the system was inoperable. We were not able to get David to come back to the house but he verbally agreed to pay the 3rd party we had fix the leak in the coolant line and faulty TxV valve. David never returned any calls or made a payment and the amount was over $1,000.

Our HVAC system was unable to maintain heat during the coldest nights this winter. Fortunately, we called Dave at Climate Care and he was able to diagnose the issue (we needed a brand new system as ours was 20+ years old), put together a quote, source a replacement and a crane, and move around his schedule to fit us in within 48 hours. His team arrived promptly at 9am with the crane coming between 9-10am as Dave promised (we live in a townhouse community so this was important for the neighbors to know). Dave’s team finished by 5pm. Unfortunately, some of the wiring had been crossed or missed so the aux heat kept coming on that night. I let Dave know and he had someone come immediately the next day to fix the issue and finalize the project. Dave came a day or two later to do one final walkthrough himself to ensure everything was done correctly. He even replaced the extra filters I had sitting around with a box of new ones he had in stock that fit the new system. We signed up for his annual subscription plan, knowing we would be in good hands. Thanks for everything Climate Care team.

Had scheduled appt with Dave (owner?) for estimate for a split system install. Took the morning off from work to meet him between 9-11am. At 2pm I called after Dave was a no show. I was told he was taking care of "AC emergencies". No call from Dave or staff about not coming. Maybe "emergency" required giving CPR without a chance to call his SCHEDULED appts. No second chance when you're unprofessional.

I have been a customer of Dave and Climatecare for years and they never disappoint. Recently I had a new condenser and blower installed in my home and the crew was professional, polite, patient and (importantly) on time. When they were done with the install, they explained the new equipment and made sure it was working properly before leaving. At a time where customer service is way down, Cimatecare really set themselves apart. Good job!

I am an HVAC engineer with over 30 years of experience. I have installed and maintained everything from window units to systems that serve 3 million square foot facilities. I hired this company to install a simple 5ton unit as I'm getting up in age and I can say without reservation that this is the absolute worse company I have EVER dealt with. No professionalism, totally inadequate response to issues. My system was installed over a month ago and still doesn't work correctly and I can't get anyone out to correct the problem. Thay are VERY good at making promises but never EVER keeping them. Save your money, your time and your sanity!

Excellent service, respectful and efficient workers with a responsive and knowledgeable owner. When our Central Air Unit stopped working, Dave had our new unit, filters, thermostat etc. ordered and installed within a two day period. The Climate Care crew made sure to show and inform us how to properly set and run our new thermostat. Our AC has never felt better with a consistent and comfortable temperature through out the entire house.

I found Climate Care contacts through Angie’s listing and I was super happy to work with them as they are a local company. I had shopped around and found them to be competitive. Office staff, installation tech all of them are very professional and courteous.
This review will fall short if I don’t mention about Dave who continues to keep his promises and work through things that needed to address. I don’t have to worry about permits and local town requirements with Dave’s expertise things are taken care. No hassle !!!!

Stay away. As others mentioned, they have a habit of taking your money and disappearing. I made a deposit, they promised to come back in two days max to replace a part. A month later, the job still wasn't done and I had to submit a dispute with my bank to get my money back.

Update: the story didn't end there. I disputed the charge and got my money back. Nine months later I received a bogus bill from Climate Care for almost $1000 for work they never performed. Moreover, I sold the place several months ago. I filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General of Connecticut for fraudulent charges. Will see what happens. Save yourself major headache and call someone else.
