I am so glad I found Ace Hi I had problems with my bathtub facets leaking, Rick came out, he didn't have the right part so he made another trip to town to find the correct part this summer. The past week it was so cold and the furnace quit working, called Ace Hi and they worked me in there busy schedule. I would highly recommend Rick and Shawn.

We own a Navien NR240A tankless water heater. Since installed in 2011 we have encountered several problems. Most have had fairly straightforward solutions and we have been satisfied with another company that has Navien certified techs on staff. We had a new plumber from a different company flush the system which resulted in the air compensator leaking. They did return, we consulted with Navien, banged on the compensator freeing the float and thought all was well. No, Friday night the leak started again in earnest. We called the company we had dealt with before the most recent flush and they did not have a compensator in stock, not surprising most plumbers do not stock these parts and you are sol until you overnight it. We contacted Ace Hi and he had the part, mind you this is on a Saturday. Our experience with weekend work is usually, they come and nothing can actually get fixed but you pay for their time. Rick was hands down the most knowledgeable Navien certified plumber we have used. He started the work at 4 and did not give up when the new compensator failed to fix the leak! We contacted Navien (best support) and they had no idea, had never seen this before. Rick tried silicone grease on the o-ring for the compensator cap and based on Navien's support we were going to order a compensator with a screw on rather than snap down bleed valve. Of course the net for us was no hot water until the part came in. Rick sat there thinking through it and said its got to be the internal recirculation pump, its the only part connected to the compensator. He did check our water pressure as well before coming to this conclusion. Unlike every other Navien certified plumber Rick had the pump because he fortuitously purchased and stocked parts. The net, we were up and running and he debugged a problem that Navien support could not. He also helped us create a list of parts to stock based on our combined experiences which he is not actually selling us, pretty decent huh. And to top it off his bill was 20% lower than what I expected Thank you to Rick and his wife since we sent him home around 7:30 on a Saturday.

Gary came to our house to quote ($100 fee for consultation visit) us on our furnace that stopped turning itself on. After explaining to me that the switch was bad, and that the bearing in the motor needed to be replaced also, he estimated the job to be $900 something dollars. He ran my card for the consult, and said he would need to order parts and that they'd call once the parts came in.

Long story short, I came to find the next day he had ran my card for the full $900, without having done a single thing inside my house aside from the consult visit. I Called them immediately to ask why I was being charged for stuff that hasn't even been done yet, let alone scheduled to be - their receptionist tells me, and I quote: "Sometimes he gets busy and charges people so he doesn't forget what he's doing later".

They said they reversed the charge - I will be reversing it myself if they don't. On top of everything, Gary's "diagnosis" was a completely B.S. attempt at price gouging. The motor and bearing are completely fine, and are only 5 years old. Had a second opinion and everything is now back and running, avoiding 98% of the stuff he said.

Pretty shady stuff.
