Jazz Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing

We live in Oakland. Our forced air heater connected to a Nest thermostat stopped working. The heater is nearly 20 years old. I called 3 yelp recommendations last night and Jazz was the first and only(as of noon today) to call back. They scheduled an appointment before noon and Ravi our technician showed up right on time. He diagnosed the problem as a clogged water pump(high efficiency heater) and had it fixed pronto. He changed my air filter(I had one on hand). He was matter of fact, knowledgeable and honest. He only charged the minimum for an evaluation($99). I highly recommend these guys!

Had Jazz HVAC come out and repair my faulty heater. Their quote to come out and diagnose the problem was lower than the competition and they have a 5 star rating. Ravi the technician came out and knew right away what was wrong. Fair pricing and great knowledgeable technicians work for Jazz! I would call them again for any issues with my Heating or Air Conditioning!

Rick was great! He patiently explained all the details of the service. He was knowledgeable and gave us useful recommendations on the heating/cooling system. We highly recommend Rick and would definitely use his services again!

Just moved into my new home and realized that our AC was not cooling. Searched online for a while to find a good HVAC company to help me out, and luckily I came across Jazz's company. Jazz came out the same day and fixed my unit. What can I say, he is a very friendly guy and knows what he is doing. Definitely trustworthy.

We had no heat in our house. Called Jazz due to a very good Yelp review. We learned first hand why they are 5 out 5 stars. Justin came early and fixed our problem right away. Heat is back on! Thanks to Justin and Jazz.

Update: Jazz did refund after the review, i hope they do the right thing for all the customers. Please let your customers know it’s a one year contract.

My experience with Jazz

I made an appointment with them because my AC was not turning on.

turns out I had fuse problem, one of the technicians walk in and fixed it.

before charging, technician told me to signup for monthly maintenance for 10$ which gets me 10% discount. I did and got like 13$ discount.

after 3 months, my AC stopped working again. i called and made appointment. The guy came in and said compressor was broke that i needed to replace the whole system for around 20,000$.

Since it’s a huge amount, we wanted to do next year during summer.

To my surprise, they keep charging monthly fee until now which i’m fine because i didn’t call them to cancel

i called them to cancel, they said it’s CONTRACT FOR ONE YEAR. and my system is not even working. they never mentioned about one year contract. when they asked to me signup, they just said monthly maintenance and asked me to sign.

please stay away from companies which practice shady practices. ONE YEAR CONTRACTS are fine but customer should be well informed about that.

one other thing about jazz, they CHARGE a lot than other companies but that’s just their business. i think 10% discount they provide with membership is already over charged price.

Zachary was a consummate professional plus very knowledgeable and friendly. He was on time to install my Nest thermostats, everything went very smoothly. Excellent technician!

I called them at the very last minute to fix the water heater. They showed up before the time slot they gave and he was done in a flash. Excellent customer service!

Ricky came out to maintenance our furnace. This is the second time he’s been here. Excellent work. Explained everything very clearly. Very polite and kept his mask on. Highly recommended.

Site visit to do a quote estimate for an AC installment. Technician was thorough and knowledgeable. He let us know when we can expect to receive the estimate and our options. Gave us tips on where to check how the full system works between our heating and cooling systems.
