Gave thorough diagnostic on the broken washing machine. He was able to identify the issue and said how much labor and parts would cost. Advised that with the Washing machine as old as it is, it would likely need to be replaced. Giving 5 stars for timely and honest diagnosis. Thank you!

Oscar was upfront on pricing and was very professional, he detailed the work that was to be done and gave quote before starting, I will definitely use them again!

I'm really happy that I found First Appliance. I had a somewhat complicated (to me) heating issue that was diagnosed quickly and at a fair price. Oscar is incredibly knowledgeable - I really appreciate that he took the time to help me understand how the heating system works, what things often go wrong, and what kinds maintenance I can perform to prevent common failures in the future.

The whole process was fantastic - they respond quickly; show up on time; and even have a nice app for booking and payments.

The freezer of our refrigerator is not cooling (enough), the temperature is only slightly below freezing point. I thought it may be related to the freon. Jason quickly identified that it was due to blockage in the cooling system. He took his tools, opened the panel and applied unblocking liquid, and everything works in no time. Jason is both polite, friendly and acts in a very professional manner.

Our refrigerator died this week. It was one of the LG models that is known for problems with the linear compressor. Oscar had us back up and running very quickly. He didn't replace the compressor with the older model that's known to break, he replaced it with a newer version instead and he also replaced the main power board. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of this company.

My AC kept turning off after few minutes after a house exterior paint job that included a pressure wash. Oscar diagnosed it as a possible fan issue. I was quoted 800$ for replacing the fan. I asked him if we can rule out the circuit breaker as that could be a potential issue but he will not look at that angle as he said that won’t be an issue and he said it must be a short in the system. Well it turns out I saved a bunch of money as it turned out to be the circuit breaker which costs just 11$ at Home Depot. Beware of being overcharged and misdiagnosed. What is more he also wanted 250$ to replace a capacitor which takes a total of 5 min to replace and 20$ for the part itself.

Edit: responding to the technician Oscar. I am telling the truth. Before posting this review, I had called his office to discuss and they never called back. Later I even offered to talk to him after he was upset I left the review but he won’t talk to me. Also some 5* reviews here are from friends and family

I called this morning to see if I could get someone out to repair my gas stove. I was told that they would have someone out between 5 and 7 pm. Then just before closing they called me back and said they couldn't come out and wasted a hole day and left me scrambling to get someone else. I have a special needs child and I am unable to cook for her. They are rude and I would never let them work on any appliance of mine. They lied right to me and said it was a miss communication when they sent me a confirmation text then they tried to say that was a mistake as well.

My freezer stopped freezing and I made the mistake of picking First Appliance Repair based on Google reviews. I asked them up front for an idea of how much the repair might cost and they said around $220 for labor plus parts. The guy came out and diagnosed the issue as a blockage in the freon system. He said the repair would cost $400. The cost sounded high but he made it sound like it was a very labor intensive repair and I needed it fixed so I said ok. 45 minutes later he was done. I asked him why it was so expensive since it was less than an hour of labor and no parts. He held up a can of something called Acid Scavenger and said, "This stuff costs $180!" I went ahead and paid the bill only to find out later that Acid Scavenger costs like $20.

I called the company the next day to try to get a better understanding of what exactly they charged me for. I asked for a manager and the first person I got said she would look into it, then never called back. I called about five hours later and talked to another "manager" who proceeded to give me three different explanations for the cost of the repair. They sent me an invoice that listed several other items including a piercing valve which costs like $5 plus other "parts" they supposedly used. As far as I can tell, they charged me $180 for like $25 worth of parts. The manager was totally unapologetic at one point saying, "Well, we fixed it for you, would you have done it yourself?" I found everyone I dealt with to be incredibly condescending. I suggest staying away from these guys.

Booked through Google at 9PM, they had availability 1-3PM the following day for our broken refrigerator water dispenser. They called and even came a little early the next day. The specific part had to be ordered as the original was discontinued, Jason was excellent and the service was superb. I will be calling First Appliance Repair in the future when things break.

My A/C went out in a heat wave. Oscar was able to come out the same day! He identified and repaired the problem quickly and effectively.
