My unit seems to be working properly. The technician was fast, communicative and on time, But… He did not close the lid cover of the unit, left the old part he replaced in the attic along with some screws and broke the plastic logo. I know this are minor things but that tells a lot about the way he does his job. That now makes me wonder if he put everything the way it should be… I won’t wait for something to go bad so I’m going to pay someone to verify everything is tied over there and prevent any problems.
Scott was outstanding with not only his quick response and Customer Service but his knowledge and understanding of my problem was top notch. I was having a problem and getting resistance from my Home Warranty company but after several attempts was connected with Iceman. Scott replaced my Heat Pump quickly, professionally and on time, even answered my cell phone calls in a timely manner and addressed my after install concerns with a couple of follow up visits. Service from Iceman was first rate and if you need HVAC work done, I highly recommend Iceman and if possible, request a visit from Scott, he's on it.
Heater quit working again. And AHS had Iceman come out. This time wasn't just an easy fix. Big hole in the condenser unit. Scott gave us options and we ended up with a new unit. He came on a Thursday and managed to get the unit dropped, crane in place and everything installed by Saturday! What AWESOME customer service! Went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Thank you!
Called in to have a blower motor changed out then the next day only outside temperature air was coming out of the vents. Called them back and they said the entire system was empty of Freon…13lbs gone within a day. That’s not suspicious or anything. Conveniently they blamed it on the schrader valve, a $2 part which they so lovingly replaced for free. Only options were to fill the unit with $3000 of outdated refrigerant or to get a complete new system. What a sham!
The tech came to our house on time and fixed the problem. He was very nice! Over the years this is the second time AHS sent this company to repair our unit both times they were great thank you iceman cooling!
I wish no stars was an option! If you have American Home Shield they will make up reasons to not do the job. This is the second compressor to go out on my units in the past year. Easy 2k job, they made up reasons why they couldn't do it. They are not professional. Did not show up on time. Made excuses. Canceled the job with AHS warranty company. WASTED my time. They could care less about professionalism, punctuality, or making the job right. If you are going through a warranty company they will come out to get paid for the call by AHS but they are not interested in fixing anything, Said the house was unsanitary and refused to come back. Mr. Iceman guy that knows nothing about punctuality or professionalism I assume you need a reminder the AC is outside. Once you figured out the problem you should not have to go back inside it is the compressor. Also, we are doing renovations to the house, having the flooring pulled up, moving furniture for the painters and dry wall guys. None of them have a problem. Not only do they judge people without a full story, they delay fixing a problem. It is Az and the AC has been out 5 days up there already. If you want reliable work from a reputable company go somewhere else. If you don't want to work, this is the PERFECT company for you. Tell me why the new AC company came, inspected, and fixed the problem with no issues. Maybe a little hard work and good work ethics would do you some good. Millennials....
I was supposed to have my ac serviced today4/7/22. They gave me a time between 12-5. I took the day off work to make sure to get my ac working correctly. It keeps freezing up. At 4 pm I had still not heard from them. Called and got a voicemail box. Left a message. No call back. Called again at 5:30 pm got the same voicemail left a message and not a word back! I can not just take days off work to keep being stood up. Now I am out 8 hours of pay and the 75$ charge for the service request. And still not a working AC. Grrr
Update: Called this morning 4/8/22. Did get an answer. Was told it was scheduling error and today was the day the were supposed to come out. The repair man did show up earlier then expected to get my repair done as soon as possible. Had to leave work to meet him. Had small pinhole leak for the coolant. Cleaned my unit. Added coolant and a leak stopper. Everything running fine now. Took about 30 minutes. Still dissatisfied with the communication on scheduling as well as having to take more time off work a total of 9 hours unpaid.
Had to use this company via home warranty company. Paid the $100 service charge. Diagnostic showed a leak in a line due to "rubbing", and subsequent loss of 7 lbs of R22 refrigerant. Repairing the line was covered by home warranty - as was 7 lbs of R22 but at only $10/lb ($70). Iceman submitted repair quote for $1,540 for the 7 lbs of R22! That's $220/lb, or an absolutely RIDICULOUSLY high price gouging amount. When I called to ask why so high when anyone can go on eBay right now and buy new in the box R22 in a 10 lb container for only $39/lb, was told that it was company policy and that's just the way it is. BUYER BEWARE! Insane price gouging mark up. AVOID!!!
My home warranty chose this company for me. So I understand them doing the bare minimum to get my air conditioner working. What I don't understand is the technicians inability to properly diagnose the problem or the company's integrity to replace two cheap parts to make the AC work instead of one part and allowing the system to fail again. The capacitor on the inside was bad and the contactor was on the verge of death, only replacing the capacitor and not both parts allowed for the wires to heat up and melt through other wires and burn the contactor. If you're going to do a job, do it right the first time or send out a tech that can better diagnose the problem.
