Fantastic service with timely updates from TLC. Worked with home warranty with quick approval and updated daily. Came out the same day to fix a second AC while the original was still out of commission. Wonderful company!

We had a lot of red flags show up on our new home inspection so we used TLC Refrigeration & Air Conditioning based on a recommendation from our realtor. I do not ever recommend using this company. They charged the previous homeowner almost $9000 for a new ac unit and repairs. We thought that we would be good for awhile and not have to worry. Not even 8 months in we had a motor go out, we called TLC again since we were hoping the parts were under warranty. Nope, $1400 repair. After the repair they emailed me to say we were due for maintenance, which they should have known and offered to do while they were doing the repair. I ended up calling another company for the maintenance to find out they mismatched the system and hooked up the new ac unit to an old air handler in the attic. I had 3 companies look at it and all 3 were shocked to see what was done. Saying it works but someone “frankenstein-ed” the system upstairs. I don't know if they were the ones that actually did what was upstairs, but they should not not have left it like that. We asked them to come in and do all needed repairs per our home inspection prior to our home purchase. Will not be using them again.

*edit* Got a response from James. Apparently my ac unit is not new and my realtor lied to me and James responded with "We were asked to do this as cheap as possible for the buyers.." I'm assuming he meant the seller since I was the buyer and the seller was covering the cost. Strange that my realtor was interested in the seller's interest over mine. So there you go.. $8,600 for as "cheap as possible" repairs while leaving an old mismatched air handler connected to a newer unit which will cost me thousands of dollars to switch out.

Both the customer service Rep, Laurie, and the tech that came to my home, Brad, were both professional and kind. I was promised a quick response and this company kept their word! The tech, Brad came out and was diligent, honest. and went through everything I needed to know to make good decision...they are my ONLY company for AC/HVAC from now on!

My heater unfortunately broke during the holidays and they were very prompt in their ability to come out. They were willing to come out on Dec 31st of all days to fix it. The work itself took a bit longer because a breaker had shorted out and they went out of their way to get a new one from Home Depot. They were thorough and responsive and even wore masks when they entered our home which was greatly appreciated. I would have no hesitation in using their services again or recommending it to family/friends. Thank you!

TLC does a great job maintaining our split HVAC system. They came out to check and service the air-conditioning portion that they installed 2 years ago on the latest visit. I highly recommend!!

SCAMMERS

TLC repaired our air conditioner through our Oneguard home warranty. They then told me the unit was dirty, old, and hanging on by a thread, all of which is true. This is the scam part: they then sent us an estimate for a new unit when the entire point of a home warranty is that they'll replace things like that when they can no longer be repaired. So instead of putting a few more $70 service calls into the thing before it croaks and is replaced by our policy, TLC tried to pressure me into spending almost $10,000 buying one. They're a shady company, don't trust them.

I had heard something rattling in the attic and I forgot to mention it to the tech. When he came down he told me that the clean air apparatus was not secure and that the original screws were not adequate so he replaced them. Nice job. Thanks for looking out for me.

Was assigned them through my home warranty, the tech came out and diagnosed the reason that my A/C unit stopped blowing cold air and left. The next day I get a call from them about scheduling and they tell me that they cannot get anyone out to my home for 7 days. So I am to sit at home in 90+ degree indoor temperatures, 100+ outdoor temperatures for 7 days.

I just hope my family, pets, and I survive to see next week... They really don't care about their customers at all.

If they can get someone out before Thursday I would gladly update my review, but until then this is a place to avoid.

Also avoid using OneGuard for your home warranty company.

Editing my review:

Surprisingly a cancellation occurred and they were able to send a tech out today (5/18), thank goodness.

The techs are punctual and do great work, it's more of the scheduling that I was upset with. I didn't want to have to suffer through 90-95 degree indoor temperatures for an entire week.

My AC line was frozen on the unit and not blowing cold air. The techs that came out to assess identified that I needed coolant added to the system. And an indoor filter change. Once this was all done, the house had good cold air blowing again. Thanks again for the prompt and attentive service!
