Honestly cannot believe the level of incompetence regarding our service and installation, especially consider the premium of the cost. It's not a wonder why the company fell apart if they operate like this nationwide. Joshua Meyer from the Seattle area was "nice" in-person but ripped us off on the back end and ignored our many repeated attempts at contact. Unbelievable, but I'm sure he laughed all the way to the bank. Never doing business with Sears again... and I'm sure they won't be around much longer to do shoddy business with anyone else (hopefully).

Should be Zero stars. Several product reorders due to incorrect parts, lack of communication, was told 4 weeks, took 8 months and I still had to settle for incompetence and accepted issues just to be done with this. My contract was botched as far as the financing, was told 1 year interest free, no rotating credit, guess what, I was put on a sears credit card. The original project manager and the sales rep that I dealt with left the company for what ever reason. Contractor that did the work was pretty good, he was getting frustrated with the whole process as well. Now, after 8 months of having a bathroom partially done, I get calls to hurry up and sign the contract. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOME. Never again with sears.

I'm am very satisfied with our heat pump system that got installed and everyone I talked to on the phone with coordinating the install were very friendly and helpful. The only area that I had a problem with was the team that came to install the system. They had shown up 2 hours later than the scheduled 4 hour window that I was suppose to expect them. Soon after they arrived we were informed that our Nest thermostat wasn't going to be compatible with the system because it didn't have enough wires and they had to install a different (lower grade) thermostat. Because they arrived late, they weren't able to complete the whole project and had to come back the next day. The next day they were late again by about 2 hours from the time that I was expecting them. Besides the install crew, the system is working great.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If you are thinking of using Sears remodel for your home (if they are still in business then) DON'T! Run Away!!!! If i could give one star, or better yet, a negative star- I would.
Although our salesman was very nice when he came to the house, every aspect of the job after that was a nightmare. What was supposed to be a 2-day bathroom remodel that we signed papers for in august, took EIGHT MONTHS to finish and we just signed the paper tonight and had to give them the rest of the project money. We had to fight for a discount. We had to fight for every piece of information along the way about dates and times (that half the time they didn't show up for or were hours and hours late for). The bathroom itself looks nice, but after 8 months of a six person family using one bathroom..... its hard to be excited. Ava and Jestin were the two people we worked with the most and they were both the worst communicators I have ever encountered.... and they were supposed to be helping us. Long story short...... use anyone but sears.

There were some initial communication problems with the Project Coordinator, but his replacement was very pro-active and soon got things back on track. The installation team was very professional and efficient. Installed 5 windows very quickly (about 2 hrs) and scarcely left a trace. Very pleased with the installation and product!

The Sears sales rep came to my house and made an offer for a variable speed furnace with installation, including duct work for a larger filter. I paid upfront expecting reliable service from a national brand. But then the subcontractors installed a cheaper single-speed unit and neglected to adjust the ducts, a total difference of about $1000 based on the initial quote. I brought it to the attention of the sales rep, the project coordinator, and the regional manager, and asked only to refund me the difference but nothing has been done. They havent answered my emails and lately my calls keep getting redirected to voicemail. It's been two weeks and I can't even get a clear promise of a resolution. I didn't get what I paid for and now it seems like they are stalling and avoiding me, starting to feel like a bait and switch.

In mid-May, I contacted Home Advisors to get references for installing an HVAC system. I received quick connections to several and after having most come through, I was convinced to go with Sears, based upon their long-standing existence here. Today, after at least 8 different contact attempts, outreaches, emails, and even receiving a bill from SEARS, I received a call that the bid was wrong (though when I rechecked it for the item he said was missing and would cost $3k more for installation - it WAS actually included). I believe that the company is understaffed and poorly managed. I began this project in May so that I would be done by the end of June at the latest. The SIGNED CONTRACT says it would be done in 7-10 days (that was June 10th - over 10 days after it was to be committed to). I was called today JULY 11TH - with this new information that to complete the bidded job it would cost $3000 more. That is more than any of the other's bid by at least $1.5k As I understand contract law (I have my doctorate, but not in law), It is illegal to come back and add costs to a signed contract. In fact, it says that clearly in the contract. I am appalled and angry. And ultimately surprised at the dishonesty and lack of integrity of SEARS and its sub-contractors.

I was very pleased with the windows installed in my 1963 mobile home. Both the sales rep George and installer Bob were very professional and experienced. The product was high quality and Bob was especiaally skilled at fitting in the windows and doing the finish work. Timing was fine and although cost was high, the outcome was more then I could have expected.

In the beginning office staff VERY rude including the Manager, order not place when they said it was, took to long. Did returned phone calls in a timely fashion, Waited 3 months AFTER kitchen was torn completely apart to (so no cook top) get counter tops installed. The only good part was Phil the installer he really tried his best to help.

Dan, the contractor who worked on my bathroom update was very efficient and did an excellent job. Marlene Harvey, the project consultant, seemed nice when we initially signed the contract, but on the day of the work, insisted that I was lying when I brought up an issue with proceeding with part of the project, due to reasons that I had raised even while signing the contract in her and Andy's presence. Further she tried to inveigle me with a supposed gift card (which we never received) she was to send us for our patience on the day of signing the contract, when I raised my concerns on the day of the work. Tina Young, the coordinator, spoke well over the phone but did not get back to me on the inspection of the work done. She first said she would come in, later about sending someone else and finally not scheduling an inspection at all. The person who called on the day of the work to have me sign the updated contract was also cynical and jumped to the conclusion that I was somehow trying to make money out of the whole episode. In the end, I ended up paying much more than the quotes I had got from others (for only replacing a bath tub to a walk-in shower and not doing the rest of the project)

Overall, in my experience, the contractor Dan who worked for Sears was helpful and did a decent job while the rest of the Sears team in the veil of professional courtesy, where actually pretty rude and insensitive.
