Vernon The Heating & Cooling Specialist

We have been using Vernon Heating & Air Conditioning for over 12 years for both heating and air conditioning maintenance services. We have also used them to replace an old AC system and an even older heating system. Service technicians are always friendly, respectful and do a great job. They get to know you and your house over the years and you can completely trust them. We just completed a hot water heater and boiler replacement (the unit was over 56 years old!) in a jammed little utility closet and it was quite a job. Mario E. and Mike C. did a great job and worked hard to get us up and running as quickly as possible. We always recommend Vernon whenever we get the chance. Many of our neighbors in North Arlington have used them for years as well!

Yet another fabulous Vernon experience. My main unit, a York, contractor grade unit of 12 years finally failed and a Vernon tech came out quickly. But, he had to give me the bad news, not only had the control board failed, but there was a buildup of mold. I had been planning to replace the unit anyway so Mile came out the same day to write up the order. The installers were available on Wednesday and they arrived as promised and did a clean install. My wife and I are very happy with the friendliness, professionalism, and skill of everyone involved. In addition to Mike, especially want to mention Zach and Brian R., the installers.

Vernon heating and cooling specialists, and senior technician Nick in particular, are an awesome service. Super responsive, highly competent, no effort to oversell services or equipment. The staff at the office make sure to keep the customers fully informed of arrival times and technician plans. They come with the parts necessary, as available, to resolve your issues as quickly as possible.

I had my entire heating and air-conditioning system replaced/upgraded by Mike Carofano and Kenny Chrismon on March 23, 2019. They arrived early, which is always a good sign. They got right down to business with no time wasted. They worked well as a team and quickly and efficiently completed the job. They were professional in every sense. At the end of the job they reviewed my new system and asked if I had any questions. They even noticed some damper valves (not part of their job for the day) that needed to be replaced. I would recommend Vernon Heating & Cooling to anyone. Mike and Chris did a fantastic job. You won't go wrong with this company or this outstanding duo of installation specialists!

Vernon to the rescue!

We came home from the Thanksgiving holiday to a cold house and a 2 inch thick wall of ice around the condenser. I called Vernon at 3pm, and Phil was out by 6pm to check out the system. I knew it was most likely on its last leg based on its age and condition, so I wasn’t surprised when Phil suggested that we replace it vice repair it (although he did offer that as an option). After walking me through several options within our budget (and not pressuring me), we agreed on a unit, and he said they would be out the next morning to install it. Sure enough, Phil, Zach, and Brian were out the next morning at the promised time installing the brand new system. They were exceptionally polite and professional, and they were very careful with our home. After installing the system and removing all of the old materials, Zach walked me through how to work all of the new components, including the humidifier and touch thermostat. When it was all said and done, Vernon had us warmer than ever just over 24 hours after we called them. We will certainly be calling them for all our heating and A/C needs, but aside for their 2x year service, I don’t think we’ll need to worry about that any time soon.

PS - After the cold winter we’ve just had, I’m so glad Vernon came through!

Mike C. and Kenny C. came at the end of last week to install a new heating system. They arrived right on time and took exactly the amount of time they said it would take. They explained everything to me in clear and understandable terms. Mike C. also installed a new digital thermometer in the dining room and programmed it perfectly. Following their departure, I synced the the thermometer with my phone and with Alexa so I now have peace of mind when leaving the house that I can control the heating and cooling system from afar, if necessary. Mike C. and Kenny C. were terrific to work with. I recommend Vernon Heating & Cooling without reservation.

We began using Vernon to service our heating and cooling units nearly a decade ago. They faithfully call to schedule our seasonal "check-ups" and are always very accommodating. Last week's check-up yielded news that the secondary heat exchanger on our 14-year-old furnace had a leak. Mike Prater, the senior service technician, did a fantastic job of explaining the mechanical issues and patiently answered many questions my husband had about decisions associated with choosing a replacement unit. The conversation led to other heating/cooling questions about our overall system and Mike offered many helpful observations. Vernon will be replacing our aged unit this week --- right in time for the next cold spell!

We have trusted Vernon with our HVAC system for 15 or more years, and have had nothing short of excellent service in every visit. Our annual service contract includes twice-a-year check-ups on our A/C and our heating system by our superb technician, George R.
