Mitchell and Young came out the Thursday before Thanksgiving to take a second look at the issue with my heat, check if my system was under warranty and give me a quote on a new system. They were able to install a new HVAC system with zoning for me on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Heat has been working great since. Very quick turnaround! Very happy with the service and warranty package offered with installation. Mitchell and Young were able to offer me a 5 year labor warranty as well as the 10 year parts warranty that comes with the HVAC.

Robert Young came to house recommended by a neighbor, he checked out my indoor unit and determined that a part was bad,said he would be back the next day and he was. However he replaced a part that was not the problem. I paid him his requested repair price and he left. The first time I turned the unit back on the same problem was still there,(indoor blower not coming on). I went under my house,removed the cover from my unit and I found a loose connection coming from the part he had replaced. I repaired the connections and have had no problems since. I as sold a part that I did Not need. I was charged for a part I did not need and was not given a receipt. CAUTION,Robert called me about 6 days after this and said that he was going to refund my money. I still have Not received any refund. Just another false claim. Very untrustworthy, this company will RIP you off. They did me. He was more interested in criticizing the company that had installed my unit than he was interested in correctly repairing my HVAC unit.

Had my HVAC system replaced. Robert responded to my inquiry quickly and provided reasonable estimates. His install team was thorough and I have no regrets

Everyone from Francis to Mike and the two gentlemen who did the installation, (sorry I forgot your names, guys), all went out of their way to inform and assist us throughout the entire process! I can't thank you all enough! I am thoroughly enjoying the comfort that has been added to our home with the purchase of our new cooling/heating system and I am looking forward to receiving a much more affordable electric bill! I asked this company to come and do a seasonal check on both of my heat pumps. The gentleman who came not only did not perform the tune ups, he lied and said one of my units was leaking all over the place and wasn't working at all and needed to be replaced. The unit is and has been, working fine. When I questioned his assessment, he left without completing any work. I was told my bill would be emailed to me. I called their office manager to complain, but was only sent a bill without having the opportunity to speak to anyone. It's been a week with no response. Clearly, they were trying to take advantage. I do not recommend this company, they are dishonest and have zero customer service skills.

I had a very difficult problem with a mini-split system installed by a different HVAC company. Mitchell and Young worked with what they were given and gave me a almost brand new system. As it was initially installed incorrectly they had some real problems/issue to deal with. In addition my mini-split was originally not confifgured correctly for my space. Robbie Mitchell worked really hard to get it in working order. And it was a real chore. They had to partially modify some of the pumps to get it to wrok correctly. And now I am VERY HAPPY. They persevered to make sure I was happy and the system worked as good as it could. These people have put in many many mini-split systems. And in a old home it can be a problem getting them installed corrrectly. Mitchell and Young are the BEST in my book. Their price was also very reasonable compared to other HVAC installers of mini-split systems.

We have used Mitchell & Young for 5 years now and they are one of the best priced AC services in RVA, and by far the most honest! They stand behind their installs and have fast response time and friendly service. Will continue to use for all our AC needs.
