Northern Tool + Equipment

Husband and I went to Northern Tool (Military Hwy) on 20 February 2019.

There were multiple customers, including us, that needed assistance. There was ONE floor worker, and he was constantly on the store phone. I ended up having to press the tool repair bell, and the manager came up. I explained how we couldn't find a floor worker, and he huffed that he only had one. Then when my husband inquired about a welding tool, he replied "Well, we clearly dont have it, that's why you can't find it.", and walked off.

I ran into 3 other customers that needed help, and were irritated by the lack of employees. The employee who was on the store phone apparently got off the clock as another employee (who none of us even saw) walked in, and another customer got irritated that he was laughing at the customer as he was walking out the door.

I have NEVER seen such terrible customer service. I personally will not be coming back.

I have been a fan of Northern Tool for a long time. I frequently go to the Norfolk store just to see what's new!! My on-line purchases have always been handled professionally and promptly!!

I like the quality of all there products. I have purchase several items for my farm and for woodworking hobby

Either they sell more power/air tools than any place I have ever seen or the employee that handles stocking cannot count. On three different occasions, I went there and they were out of stock. Three different items mind you. Went back two weeks later and still out of stock. But it was online at Northern Tools., so it isn't like it was backordered. This place is "hit and miss" in every way.

Hidden extra fees for tires. They tried to charge me a recycling fee on 2 tires that were on sale. I told them to keep their tires if this is the way they do business. If you are charging additional fees besides sales tax then add that to the price of the tire. I ordered them online from Etrailer for 20 dollars less per tire with no RECYCLING fee. Don’t waste your money if you need tires, go to Etralier!

Have shopped and purchased at this store for many years and have found the employees quite courteous, friendly, willing to assist to locate items you wish to see and or purchase. Would definitely recommend your patronage to Northern.

Went to their store to purchase a tool that was on sale in their catalog and they would not honor the sale price, said it was a mistake. Guess Northern doesn't use proof readers nor do they honor their own sale prices. Highly recommend Harbor Freight over this place.

Friendly sales staff. They had what I was looking at reasonable price. My next project they will be my first stop. Also, they offer a mil discount.

I have to say the management team here in Norfolk, VA have always been there for us at WWC & Company. Always on time, helping us with our needs for most every situation!

So I really enjoy Northern tool customer service is fantastic and they have a great selection, I do wish they carried a little more selection of DEWALT cordless power tools but they have a good selection of Milwaukee.
