The Chill Brothers

Avoid this company at all cost. It is full of scammers and liars! I believe I was taken advantage of and sold a system I didn’t even need due to my lack of knowledge, being a woman and being a first time home owner. I trusted the seller. Next, the first time they changed my filters it was $45. I was never told I had to sign up on their “service plan” to continue to receive filters. Fast forward a year. I go to purchase a new filter. I’m thinking it’s $45 like last time. I was told $170. I was confused. I was told this was for the installation of the filter and the price of the filter. I was shocked! So, I was initially speaking with Tammy I said I would just buy the filter she said fine it would be $45. However, they never informed me where the filter was located. Then, I ended up speaking with Nicole same story. Trying to help me locate where my filter is located and also informing me I could purchase one from them for $45 or Home Depot. I still couldn’t find the filter. So, passed me on Ryan. Ryan helped me to find the filter. After, I informed him they would not be doing an install. I went to Home Depot and purchased two filters that were my size. They WOULD NOT FIT IN MY AC! I was upset. I had to drive back to Chill Brothers to get a filter from them. I was initially ignored. I explained to a young man everything that happened. He informs me that’s not what happened. I was infuriated by what I was hearing. Why would I lie about this? He said spoke with the GM and said said, “we’ll give her a filter this one time for $45”. If I could rip the unit out of my house I would. I’m tired of people (businesses) taking advantage of me because I’m a female homeowner. I put trust in these people. I don’t have money to be throwing away!!!

Jonan Navarro was our technician for our maintenance visit today. He was very professional, friendly, easy to talk to and did a fantastic job!

Kettler was just outstanding! He was so helpful and polite with everything I needed. Was very educational when answering all my of questions with quick responses. Will definitely be referring all of my family and friends to him!

Jonan came out to assess our air quality to even out the temperature. He was punctual, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable . He fixed the problem. He is a true asset to the team of Chill Brothers. A true example of service first!

The owner of this company does not take any communications serious. I have asked 6 times for his people not to come to my door and had 5 promises they wouldn't. The 6th time they blew me off. I have no soliciting signs and am moving forward on reporting them for trespassing moving forward. The quality of this company doesn't matter because they will beat on your door non-stop.

Michael Perez is extremely knowledgeable about what he’s doing. He definitely needs a raise for his expertise in the field he works in. Michael Perez is definitely the guy to call! Chill I’ll definitely be asking for him again for the services I need in the future.

I would highly recommend choosing the Chili Brothers for your HVAC needs. They were exceptionally efficient, professional, and emaculante throughout the entire process. I personally will not go with anyone else in the Sugarland Area. Be sure to ask for Michael when you call. He will go out of his way to get you the answers you need to make an informed decision. Plus once you move forward he will be there to make sure things are going exactly how you expect.

For reference my family (from another area) has worked in the business for over 50 years it takes a lot to impress us on their knowledge and ability to price the systems correctly. Trust is earned through knowledge and actions, they earned it 100% on both fronts.

Ivan S. assessed our system, educated my family on our HVAC system and was very thorough in explaining the quote he provided. He was very personable and open to questions. Very good presentation.

2023 Update:
I continue to be impressed with the service provided by this company. All of the techs who have showed up so far have been top-notch! Humble, professional, knowledgeable. Jonan in the recent past for maintenance and Franco just now on a Sunday morning (July 2) to troubleshoot a bit of a condensation from the unit drain lines and assure that all was as expected. Called last afternoon for some urgent service as I noticed water dripping from the outside of the unit drain line - Gabrielle was very prompt in alerting Franco , who called and promised to show up on a Sunday. He called twice to provide ETA; showed up and looked over the unit to make sure nothing was awry. A drain line that needed to be raised a tad was raised, he even helped pour bleach down the drain lines to clear it of any bacterial growth…
Overall, so thankful to him and others at Chill Bros for continuing to go above and beyond!

2021 and 2022 Review:

Start to finish, excellent experience with the Chill Brothers team. From the moment I was contacted unsolicited by Brandon, through sales discussions with Johnny and subsequently with Joel Stewart and Jeremiah Lopez, the interaction was very friendly and professional. From initial quotes from Johnny to installation, over 6 months had elapsed and in the interim, I obtained additional bids for comparison purposes. Went back to Chill Bros due to their friendly persistence, knowledge and willingness to take the customer’s concerns into account. Finally, brought another friend who also was in the market, and together, we struck a deal with Joel and Jeremiah for replacement of 4 compete units (two houses).
Installation date was readily available and pre-install visit by James went well. Gilbert Soto and crew did the installation and their work was meticulous, clean and very professional. It was a pleasure working with that team. Post-install visit by James and additional discussions with Michael (Ops) and Jamie (GM and Controller) were also very friendly and professional. All in all, a very satisfying experience. Units have been working well so far, and now I await a follow-up visit by Ryan to fine tune air flows, etc. Based on my experience so far and in my opinion, Chill Bros have delivered on their commitments. Kudos to the owners and management for empowering staff to deliver to customers’ satisfaction!

Bought a couple AC units last year through Kettler. Always straightforward and honest about the situation at my house. Didn’t feel like the usual sales pitches I constantly get lol. Highly recommend you ask for him if you need an AC.
