They installed a brand new unit for us in September. That in & of itself was problematic. Never returned our calls or e-mails or came to do the 6 month check up in March. Last night, the fan stopped. None of their listed numbers worked. Went through their family member who is a friend to get ahold of them. Also made a public post on FB & tagged them. They removed the tag & blocked me, but the post is still public. When Ben (owner) called me, from a blocked number, he blamed google for the lack of phone number update. Also, refused a contact number, saying he will contact me on Monday & to have a good weekend. Says that the part is probably under warranty, & that's the reason that he can't even come look at it until Monday. It's now Saturday (our 2nd day without AC). So, I called Air On Time AC, who sent someone within the hour. The part was available & covered by our warranty (easily located by the new guy). We now don't have to swelter in this Texas heat & humidity with my health concerns & my young child for 2 more days for MQA to call back (hopefully) & attempt to fix the problem. I regret ever trusting this company based on the fact that they are extended family of a close friend. They have been nothing but difficult & uncooperative.
I called Murphys Quality Air for my mother. She had her yearly check on her unit 2 weeks ago with another company and then 2 days ago her drip pan started to over fill and the 1st company came back and "fixed" it. I had Muephys come take a 2nd look and he found few things the other company missed he also found that when the whole unit was replaced back in 2012 they "forgot" to replace the coil. He spent 2+ hours doing a complete check and going over all the issues he found. My mother was very pleased with his knowledge and service. Also they were able to come out with in 24 hrs and didn't give us the run around or the 4 hour window. We are very pleased and will be future customers and refer to every one.
Ben knew I had only one day in Houston to have an AC system repaired. He could have taken advantage of me like another service did, but he provided quality service at a very fair price. If I lived in Houston, I would never use anyone else. His wife, Amber, who handles the phone calls, is a genuinely nice person, as is Ben.
Thank goodness for Murphy’s Quality Air!! They came out to my home and found a small problem with my condenser unit after two other companies wanted to replace my whole system!!! Murphy’s Quality Air is honest and thorough, as a homeowner, that is what matters! Five Stars and many referrals on my my part!
I called them because my AC was not working told me I was going to be charged $89 to come out and check unit whlen other companies charge $49... Long story short $89 turned into close to $1,000... AC was still not fixed he tried to get me to pay him more to replace other things not knowing what was the problem just guessing adding more costs tiller repair... Told my wife he had other jobs to do and that he would call her back to let her know when he would come back to finish the job and to figure out what was the problem... He never called her back so my wife had called to ask when should we expect him back this was on a Friday... His wife or secretary had told my wife that the earliest would be on the upcoming Monday but we would still have to pay him $89 more to come out because there was another problem and he would have to spend all day trying to figure out what it was... It had been more than a week and we still haven't heard from him.... He talks a good game but really doesn't know what he is doing and is trying to scam and take more money... Word of advice do not use his service... I was able to get ahold of their people who had installed my unit they came out real quick found the problem in less than 15 minutes and said the job would only be $49 ... And that all of the other things that this technician have done was way overpriced and would have been done for less than $500... Beware of his scams!!! Updaten 3/19/2020 Now this guy is saying it it was due to a lack of funds...when really it was due to a lack of your knowledge.. all my parts were I'm warranty and he was trying to get me to pay to replace a fan motor a control board and a contactor... When none of that was the problem... Why would I want to ever call someone who doesn't know what they're doing...
