I do not usually post critical reviews of anybody but in this instance I decided to do so that others may spare themselves the stressful experience I went through with stay cool. First of all Stay Cool AC went to my small commercial building upon my request to give me an estimate for replacement of my HVAC system. The tech instead without my approval decided to instead try to repair the unit which I had already been told by Ikes was impossible due to a mistake made by the original contractor. I then received a bill for a service I had not approved. I called the fee was waived which was nice since the service was unsolicited. Then I received a call from the tech and he insisted that he could save the unit which I told him I did not believe. He then went on to say that if he could not fix the unit there would be no charge. Reluctantly I agreed and set another appointment. I called the office and told them about the techs offer and they said okay. On the next appointment the tech arrived and called me saying he fixed the unit. Of course I was surprised and elated during which he said he could do the same to my second unit when I hesitated he pressured me saying that he was already there and that he could do it real quick. 30 min later I get a call from my tenants saying the unit has stopped working. 20 min after I receive a call from the tech saying that upon manufacturers recommendation the repair was unsafe. I then think to myself oh well I was disappointed but I had already decided on the swap out of equipment before I went to stay cool. Soon after I get a bill for $3000 from stay cool. I call the office and I ask them about it. I tell them about the aggressive sales technique the tech used on the upsell since he used the repair of the first unit as part of the pitch. They see my point and reduce the price to $1600. I still have two broken units and the tech didn't tell me anything that IKES AC hadn't told me before and IKES did it for free with no obligation. I must say that the office staff is wonderful at stay cool but I felt bullied by there tech when I repeatedly said I did not want to sink more money into units I already had been told was impossible. He then and went on to make suggestions based on his expert opinion about the power issues I then decided to follow upon on his claims. I spoke to the City electrical engineer who after speaking to me at length sent me to her friend the head HVAC engineer for many of the large chain stores like HEB. He was very kind and explained to me in detail the many ways that the tech had mislead me.
The repair Stay Cool claimed would be free was not and the expert advice was both misleading and inaccurate. Everyone please save yourselves the headache, hefty charges and bullying and look to someone else for your AC service. Im sure these guys can do the easy stuff but as for their expert opinion do not fall for the line. My situation was complicated and that was not Stay Cools fault but they left me feeling both stressed and taken advantage of. Maybe I've spent too much time in small towns were people keep there word which this company does not. I decided to go with IKES AC they were nice and helped me with my situation and gave me a great price and 12 year parts and 2 year labor warranty.

The technicians showed up on time and were very professional in every way. They helped educate me on a few things about my system and made a very low pressure sales recommendation on adding a filtration system. I really appreciated him mentioning the system, telling me about it, but not going into a high pressure sales pitch.

Would highly recommend the company and will use them again in the future.

Stay-cool moved my appointment time up and came and fixed my ac issue. They explained to me what was wrong and how they plan on fixing it. They are so friendly and made sure our ac was working good before leaving. I love that we get warranty and we can call any time of day and they will be there. I highly recommend them.
