Absolute Heat & Air

I would not recommend this company. I had an issue with my heater a year ago. They came out and looked at it and said it was fine (which turned out to be true, they were right). Then the tech spent a good 30 minutes trying to sell me an air purifier for my house, which I did not want. That alone did not prompt me to write this review.

About a month ago, I had an issue with my AC unit. Everyone I called was booked up for a couple weeks except this company (I now know why). The tech came out and declared that "There was a leak in the coil of my AC unit that would cost $3500 to replace and that I might as well get a new unit for $7500". He also said that when it started it was starting with ~60AMPs (or volts or watts or something, IDK about electricity) and that it should be starting at around 8AMPs. Another indication it was soon to break completely and that we needed a new one. He also said he could put more Freon into the unit to tide me over until we bought and installed a new one. He told me that there was no way to know how much Freon would need to be added until it's done as it was "like adding air to a basketball on the other side of a wall. I just can't tell how empty it is." 4.5LBS of Freon and $500 later he was on his way and said they would schedule a time to come out and sell me a new AC unit.

This all seemed incredibly fishy to me, so I called another company and had them come out. They immediately used a device to measure how much Freon was missing from my unit (why didn't the original company have this device?) and found it was low again. They then used a device that detects leaks in the system and scanned all my lines and attic parts until they found a leak within the unit itself in the condenser (not the coil, why did the original tech not have this device to detect leaks?). They gave me a price to replace that part and also the pricing for a new unit for me to compare. The price to replace that part was significantly less than a new unit so I went that route. I mentioned the part about the unit starting up at 60AMPs (or whatever) and they were genuinely confused as to why that would be a bad thing. Lastly, when I mentioned that the people who had originally come out was Absolute Heat and Air they told me they hear horror stories about them "a lot" (granted, they are a competitor so it's not like people who have good experiences go to another company and say good things about the first company they worked with, but you get the idea).

All and all, I basically paid $500 to have someone try to sell me a new AC unit. I would not recommend this company.

Sean did an amazing job thoroughly going through all of our systems, inspecting and diagnosing current and possible future issues. Very knowledgeable and look foreword to working with them in the future.

I have been absolutely pleased with the work and service from Absolute. After using them for the first time this past summer I had signed up for their membership. Loads of benefits for a really fair price. Well, Jerry from Absolute came by today for my annual maintenance check up and he looked at every square inch inside and out on my HVAC. Everything checked out perfectly but my UV bulb was burnt out in the unit that’s in the attic. Which explains why my filters have been getting so dirty after just 2 weeks! I mean obviously something’s not right dirty. Without Jerry I honestly probably wouldn’t have noticed this till I was sent up there to grab the Christmas tree. Thank you Jerry and Absolute!!

The problem was explained to me and my options were given to me. The technician was nice and very helpful. I will call them in the future if I have AC problems again.

Our A/c went out and within a couple of hours of calling we had someone at our house working on it! Completed the job in one visit! Highly recommend !

Absolute Heat and Air has been a big help to us since moving here. Recently our air conditioning went out and Absolute came to the rescue. They did a great job on the install and showed us some of the best customer service we have seen from any other service in north Texas. They really do a great job taking care of their customers. Highly recommend this business.

Absolute installed my unit and has maintained it since. They do a fine job, they friendly staff, they are on time, and appear well trained. I count on them, and they have always come through.

The tech was real good at explaining everything. And real professional about everything. I would highly recommend them.
