In the middle of this hot July summer one of our two a/c units died. After trying to simply get someone to come check out what the problem might be from a couple of other companies, without dealing with high-pressure sales quotes, we called Michael. He came out and quickly found our unit would need to be replaced. He gave us several quotes on several options, all WITHOUT any pressure at all. He even suggested my wife and I discuss it, after he left, to make any decisions. We were so impressed with Michael's expertise, courtesy, and professionalism, that we chose not only to replace the one unit, but both (20 yrs old)!
It's never fun having to replace expensive, but necessary, home appliances. But I can say without any regrets that the Van Ness company made the process quite easy and practically stress-free. They started the job one morning and by early that same afternoon were completely finished. Thank you Michael for your and your company's efficient, honest, and professional work. No question about it, we highly recommend Van Ness Heating and A/C!!!

I cannot speak highly enough about Michael and his company. We were having issues over the weekend with our A/C so after talking with him and setting up a later appointment, he called me back and said he was actually on his way right then (late Sunday evening). Turns out the problem was on our side and Michael stated there was no charge, lol which I had to insist he still take something for his help.

Once again, Michael is great to work with. I contacted Michael late Monday afternoon about our clogged condensate line for our unit in the attic. Condensate water was filling our drain plan and service was needed quickly. By Tuesday afternoon, he was out and performed the work to clear the lines. All done in less than 24 hours. Just tremendous customer service. Thanks Michael!

Van Ness Heating and Air replaced my 30-year old furnace. in the attic. They did a great job on a small repair several months ago so I thought I would try them for this larger project and was very impressed. Great communication, prompt efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommended.

We were presented with a proposal that outlined the equipment and cost. The installation team was on time, efficient and left everything clean and in order. I've used Van Ness for years. Michael is wonderful and my dog just adores him (seriously, it's funny how much). He is on time, professional, and definitely reasonably priced. Just today my mother was complaining about the company she uses (NOT Van Ness) and I've encouraged her to change when her service contract runs out. I guess it was all for the money. After buying the system from Van Ness Heating and Air we were unable to get a response about questions we had. Maybe it was because we asked his workers to wear masks while working in our home. He had been servicing our AC for several years. I’ll leave the previous review intact as I am a unsure as to why our calls went unanswered. Prior to our buying the new system: , I requested his opinion about updating our system. He advised we didn’t necessarily need a new system but if we wanted it and could afford it he gave us his recommendation. At this time I think we made the right decision for us and for our guests to always be comfortable.

We have used Van Ness Heating and Air for our HVAC needs for about 2+ years now, and could not be happier. I work in the HVAC industry and Michael's company was recommended by a co-worker. Michael and Nona are very quick to respond and scheduling appointments with them is a breeze. We have a maintenance agreement with them for regular service check ups, and have used them for unit replacements. Michael is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Highly recommended!
