The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because there in not a "no star" option. They were assigned by our home warranty company to repair our a/c which has been out for 3 days. (in the triple-digit TX heat). They contacted us and we were assigned a time slot of 12-5pm. Their technician called us at 12:38pm to say he was on his way & should be here in about 15 minutes. He arrived at 12:52pm and asked what the problem was with the a/c. We explained that the unit would turn on, then about 10 seconds later it would turn off and that had been happening for the last 3 days. The technician asked my husband to show him where the attic drop was located because he wanted to look at the inside unit. When he got in the attic, he told my husband not to go up with him and the keep the stairs clear in case he had to exit quickly. When he came down from the attic, he asked my husband to show him where the outside unit was located so he could look at it. My husband walked the technician to the outside unit and stood near by in case he had any questions. The tech asked my husband if anyone had performed a "leak test" on the unit because it sounds like it may be out of freon. My husband said no and the technician said he would have to fill out a leak test report and get that scheduled before he could do the repairs then he walked to his truck at 12:59pm and sped off.
After about 45 minutes, I called the company to inquire if the technician had filed the report or if was he coming back and was told the technician refused to work on our unit because he didn't want to be watched over while he worked. I explained that the technician had only unplugged the unit, he did not even begin to do any work, he just asked us that 1 question then left. The person who answered the phone was rude and kept talking over me while I was explaining what happened. They were VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - horrible customer service!!
We have called our warranty company to make them aware of the situation and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well.

Big shout out to Horatio Alonso at EMS Heating & Air Conditioning who took care of my AC unit! Did a great job fixing my fan motor and replacing my modulator. Plus, super cool guy. I would HIGHLY recommend this veteran owned company.

Great customer service and extremely knowledgeable of our heat and air systems. We use their maintenance plan and have our HVAC checked out twice a year. I highly recommend EMS. Tonya helped schedule both of our properties and Eric came to do the service. I like that the same technician comes each time so he knows our house and system. Both employees were friendly and helpful.

EMS was suppose to fix my a/c. They were the first repair service to work on the inside attic section. It work for a couple of hours. When EMS’s next repairman saw my control board. He said “who did this to you? They blew out your control board.”I gave him the other EMS repairman’s name that had just worked on it. He said he didn’t have a control board on his truck that he would come back the next day.I called EMS for 10 days and they said they were coming to fix it. Then they just started hanging up the phone on me. Disabled, over 60 and 10 days of Texas summer heat. I had to pay $650. to replace the control board. Do not let EMS work on your air conditioner. I called the BBB.
