EDIT: the above was after the first consult and bid. After that, this went way downhill and I have no idea how the Google reviews are so positive for this company. They bid two tasks (replace coil; make airflow uniform) and per the internet provided local estimates, they were high on both. Both jobs were supposed to be done in one day and only the first was. Nice techs. The second task became a nightmare of people not showing up or showing up without parts or communications. I lost count but think it took five visits to complete. One senior guy (Cory) saved the day by coming out twice and establishing a plan for a very simple job. Also today when they finished they didn’t have the right tool (flow meter) to demonstrate the job was done properly.
Besides Cory and the techs, the phone games are bad and the internal communications are worse. I’m stunned I didn’t get a call earlier from someone at a high level with at least an explanation as to why this took so much to resolve.
Regrettably with no reach out from ownership I have no reason to recommend this contractor, who not only is Big Bear but also run a few other HVAC companies under different names.
Cory did a fantastic job, very professional and he communicated all work in a detailed manner with pictures. Very efficient with his time and extremely friendly and personable. We will definitely be using him in the future.
I have used Big Bear for years. They have always been excellent! Their business has grown substantially, and I still get the excellent service I have always received. I completely trust Diel and his team, which is hard to find in this industry. Highly recommend, and in fact, I have done that many times!
I’m very impressed with the quality of the service I received and the promptness. I was expecting to have to wait days to get an appointment or for parts but to call and have them out in a few hours and have my AC up and running and it didn’t break the bank!! I’m truly impressed and will use them again.

Had them out to replace a coil internally and install a new outdoor unit. After install, water was leaking due to another broken part in the internal unit. They came back out immediately to identify the problem and had it fixed promptly. Their dispatch and techs are great, would recommend.

They came to fix a leak, and in the process and in front of me, let out all the freon into the air breaking EPA laws and charging us for 12 lbs of freon @ $100+ per pound. I called them multiple times and asked to talk to a manager or the owner, but the secretary never let me talk to anyone. She said someone would contact me soon…I am still waiting for someone to contact me. This company is a disgrace.
